The Scene
On a block where plexiglass cubes and austerity are the norm for display, Christopher Totman makes the break with an environment that's, well, environmental: a wood plank held up by a tree trunk is a shelf in the center of the store. Don't worry, this isn't some Swiss Family Robinson extravaganza. Take a look around: original clothing, nubby knits and a bright, nearly tropical palette reassure you that these are covetable items.
The Goods
We like the scarves with a message (one proclaims, simply, in black and white, "Love"). Apple-green cords, a sweater that glistens with woven-in beading, and a skirt with unfinished edges and an asymmetrical hem are just a few of the out-of-the-ordinary separates.
