Editorial Review for Slope Health & Fitness – by Joanna Prisco
In Short
This sleek, small facility is located in the hub of yuppified Park Slope. Making good use of the space, bright white glass grids divide cardiovascular and weight rooms from class areas. The range of group workouts includes yoga, spinning, Capoeira and Total Body Ball, a conditioning that utilizes a stability ball to increase coordination and balance. Men's and women's saunas help loosen muscles before or after, and a massage therapy area works out kinks.

I just joined the slope about a month ago and was really surprised by how much I enjoyed working out here after comparing it to the other gyms in the park slope area. I found the trainers to be very knowledgeable and friendly and very willing to give work out tips when asked. Obviously the location is great as it is right in the middle of park slope. The locker rooms are always clean and all the members that I have come in contact with have been very pleasant to talk with. I was actually surprised at how much I liked it compared to some of the other larger gyms in the area but the intimate feel of this gym really works in its favor and makes it very pleasant to go to. Have not had any of the billing problems that some of the other posts have had and really hope that I don't experience that. Overall, would recommend for those living in the park slope area.
Pros: Knowledgeable and helpful trainers, location, intimate environment, good music to work out to
Cons: Small space, lacks some machines

What is wrong with this place? The towels at the Slope Health & Fitness have holes in them and some of the yoga mats are torn and patched together with duct tape.
Pros: Air Conditioining, Weights
Cons: Shabby Yoga Mats and Rags for Towels
