RUDE. I am from out of town. I received a pair of shoes as a gift and they did not fit. I called the manager Eric and explained my dilemma. He told me to come up to nyc and I could exchange them for another pair. He was very nice on the phone, but when I got there they turned me away because my friend had not purchased them from a christian louboutin store.thank you for telling me that AFTER I traveled up here on the train. They weren't even nice about it. The staff was so rude about it. Everyone there has a very snooty air. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

New York shopping: Christian LOUBOUTIN. Small store but with rich items, Nice deco. I like the entrance. Watch out the steps when you come in!

Do they participate to Luxuryshoppingdeluxecard program?

It'd seem that they are discussing it!

Fashionable French soles that embody the spirit of Paris.. In Short
Amid the modern, boxy, white shoe purveyors of upper Madison, this low-lit salon, richly decorated with fabric and a floor-level chandelier, stands out like an exotic bird. Louboutin's witty creations, with their telltale red soles, have made fans of fashion icons as diverse as Caroline of Monaco and Madonna. The shoes have a Girl Friday/Mildred Pierce verve, updated with whimsical touches--feathers, bows, cut-outs, funky fabrics. If a tryst in the City of Light is out of the question, a pair of these, which start at $350, are the perfect substitute.

The Madison Store is Relaxing. I haven't been to the CL in the Meatpacking, but I have purchased from the CL on Madison a few times. The sales help are nice (they actually leave you ALONE to look for yourself without getting in your face every 5 seconds to suggest some hideous thing). When I'm ready to try on, however, the ladies are very helpful, making sure the shoes really fit. (Rememer, these shoes run small, depending on the cut, up to a size in difference, as I have experienced). The sales people can be a little wrapped up in their own conversations/little private jokes so don't go there hoping for someone to get very interactive with you in choosing a pair of shoes. They don't have the largest selection but the calm, quiet atmosphere makes it worth it. (Barneys has the largest selection). Bottom line: polite, detached salespeople without the dreaded bitchiness of other boutiques (ahem, Prada).

fantastic red soles. I love Christian Louboutin! I was thrilled to meet the artist himself recently at the Madison Ave store! The staff is helpful at both locations and I've never been more happy with any shoes in my life. Merci!

poor quality heels and rude service. I bought 2 pairs of shoes at the Madison avenue store few months back. they were nice when i was buying them, but when i called recently since the heels on one shoe broke the first time i wore it, they were so rude on the phone. i wore one of the shoes for the first time today and the heel just broke. I've also had problems with the rubber part of the other shoe wearing off in the first 2 wears. I am not overweight or heavy for these shoes. their heels lack something. for the amount we pay for these shoes, they certainly lack wear and tear. i have been told to mail them the shoes and they will see what they can do. lets see how this service works out. the staff in the stores need to be taught how to talk to customers, after all we are the ones that buy the shoes, they are the sales people who work there for a salary. they shouldn't have such attitudes, when they are the ones selling and we are the ones buying. hope the service improves.

Love all my Louboutins!. Louboutin shoes are absolutely killer and I loooove them! I don't know what these other people are taking about bad sales help but everytime I go in there, Uptown or Downtown, the help is always nice and helpful. Ever think it may be you, darlin? What I like is that the help aren't just trying to sell you something in order to make a buck. If it's in your face attention, blabbing and insincere sales help that you want, go elsewhere. I know what I like, I try em on, and I buy. Shopping is fun! Not a therapy session with the sales help or self worth evaluation. All I know is that my mile high platforms make me feel oh so fabulous and I have the staff at these stores to thank for them because they were sold out everywhere else.

LOVE Louboutin!. LOVE Louboutin shoes! the shoes are great quality, comfortable and look very distinctive.

I think both locations in NYC are great. The staff is very helpful and friendly . For example I went to the downtown location for look for a pair of shoes but they did not have my size. The sales person was very helpful to locate a pair for me.

User review by toto88. Shoes are great but that doesn't excuse the attitude; service downtown is the WORST. Since when is it ok to act like you are doing people a favor selling them pricey shoes? They are much nicer at the Madison Ave. store.

The Meatpacking Location Is Better. Although it is runner-up to L.A. for the most blatant use of plastic surgery, Madison Avenue obviously can still give lessons on how to be rude, and has unfortunately well-instructed Louboutin's staff in the theory of unfounded self-importance and inartful condescension. Obviously there are more important people in the world than me, but my money looks the same as the Hiltons' on an accounting sheet, ... and a comission, by the way. The shoes are without doubt some of the best designed and most beautiful, much in start contrast to the attitude of the Madison staff. Surely no one can possibly be that ugly on the inside and the outside.

If you must walk on red soles, visit the Meatpacking location. They are such dolls. No reason to miss out on the shoes.
