It costs too much

I think Whole Foods is a good place to buy quality food, but they are very expensive. I will continue to go there because of the service and quality, but not because of the prices. Lower them!!

Happy to find this during our stay in Manhattan!

My husband and I were here almost every night before returning to our cramped hotel room after being out on the city all day. I love fresh, organic foods, and this market is simply the best! The samosas on the Indian food bar are sooo good! And the dessert bar had favorites such as chocolate mousse cake, which was way better than what I had picked up from another specialty bakery that charged a lot of money for a smaller portion. Lines are long but actually very efficient as there are at least ten registers open on any given night. We found all kinds of little organic sodas and juices, none with added fructose syrups and much less sugar than conventional 'sweet' drinks. I didn't feel guilty in indulging while in Manhattan at this great market. And it was very close to our hotel....big plus! A little pricey, but it is organic and natural...a great place to pick up eats to pack for a picnic to Central Park!

• Cons: A big crowded, but to be expected

Well worth the trip...

It is such a hassle for me to travel to Whole Foods but well worth it! Everything is sooo fresh compared to any local market or even your online Fresh Direct (which I haven't found to be fresh at all). You have such a huge selection of everything and good brands to add. I love the fresh fish selection and it you need it cut a certain way they will do it right on the spot. Most of the time if I can find exactly what I need here, especially rare items that most other places would never carry. Love my Whole Foods!

not your average market

i recently went to whole foods for my first time and absolutely loved it. the selection is great and everything is very fresh. i purchased many different flavors of their specialty sausages and all of them are delicious. the checkout was very efficient too, which added to my satisfaction. told a friend in san francisco about how much i loved whole foods and apparently she already knew it was a great store because there is one there. i will definitely continue shopping here and highly recommend it to others.

Good Quality!

All of foods are fresh and delicious. I go there everyday but I have never bored.

Deli food is also delicious. Sweets are always varietifully.
