kizmit is right. Just read kizmits review and I can't agree more. JR Cigar on 5th Ave & 45th really does not go by the advertised prices. I too experienced almost a 100% increase in price

A simple store for serious smokers.. The Scene
In this straight-up store for serious smokers, a plain, two-story space is crammed with cigars from all over the world. During lunchtime, customers crowd the space, and light up by the cash register before they leave. Unlike some of the luxury cigar stores, this outlet eschews glitz for an old-school look, with unstained wood floors and a vintage tin roof that's rusted out because of the store's humidifiers.

The Goods
Window-browsers stay away. The emphasis is on smoking, smoking, smoking. Sure, they sell a few lighters and cigar cutters, but the space is dominated by towers of wooden cigar boxes, usually in the J&R and Montecristo brand. There's a decent selection of humidors with a few other fine accoutrements. Regular smokers looking for a good case of cigars should head downstairs, where there's a wide range of offerings and decent prices, with plenty of selections from Latin and South America.
