The Scene – Boasting sweeping harbor views, this hotel features a more contemporary design for the venerable chain: light wood, pale colors, deco-inspired rooms and original pieces by New York artists like Ross Bleckner and Joseph Stashkeveich. Unique services and attention to detail exceed expectations; bath butlers, telescopes, and "power" tea service add to the luxury. It's popular with business travelers, but the romantic location, relaxed vibe and family-friendly offerings make it perfect for others as well. – – The Details – The 298 rooms, spread over 14 floors…

It cannot get any better than this. If you are looking for high quality and exceptional service, this is the place to stay. Our children could not stay away from the telescope in our room. Just imagine, being able to see the Statue of Liberty up close as your view. Since we stayed for Thanksgiving, we were able to enjoy the meal they were offering for the holiday . It was scrumptious. Their lounge, Rise, on the 14th floor serves great drinks with a breathtaking view.
- Pros: Wonderful experience
- Cons: Away from fine stores
