Editorial Review for Mamita Peruvian Restaurant – by Martha Burr

In Short
Squeezed between Brand Boulevard's shiny car dealerships, this cheery Peruvian eatery is clean, bright and homey. Neighborhood crowds gather around white tablecloths, retro-style padded chairs and comfy booths, amidst mirrors, flowers and colorful murals of Colonial Peru. Peruvian seafood specialties include mixed seviche, fried calamari, seafood chowder, spicy shrimp and whole fried fish. Other popular dishes are chicken and rice, fried steak, yucca and plantains, and boiled potatoes with creamy garlic cheese sauce.

User Reviews for Mamita Peruvian Restaurant

1 Star Rating: Not Recommended

Our group of 3 ordered our food and it did not come in 45 minutes. We politely asked when our lunch would be ready. The waitress couldn't tell us when it would be ready and told us to call ahead next time. We left. There will not be a "next time" and we'll never go back. LOUSY customer service and extremely rude staff.

Pros: None

Cons: Lousy service

4 Star Rating: Recommended

Loved the authenic peruvian food! With so many peruvian restaurants around, Mamita is a great find. Nevermind the Argentinian server, the folks making the food know what they're doing! The only downside: though I've always been seated promptly, the service can be slow-as-molassas.

Pros: Great food

Cons: Slow service
