“The cozy and broody ambiance gives this place a great Karmic vibe!”
“Their dessert was poor too.”
“If you like Indian food you are in for a treat.”
“But good service”
“Good food at the right price, what more can you ask for.”
EH good food horrible service.
The food was good, the mango lassi was AMAZING. It was probably the best mango lassi I have ever had. The chicken tikka and nan were good. However, the service SUCKED!
They are not kid friendly, packed everyone together, even though the restaurant had empty seats in other parts. The noise level was really loud. If you are walking around and want a quick drink or perhaps even an appateizer its a great place. If you are looking for a romantic dinner or even a dinner out with some co-workers go elsewhere.
Surprisingly STILL awesome!!!.
Just moved back to Hoboken. My friend and I decided to pop in to see an old favorite for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is still as good as I remembered. Grabbed the window seat where you can sit criss-cross on cushions and ordered my old favs: For apps we got the Kabab Platter and a veggie samosa and shared it. DEEELICIOSO!! Main course was another fav: Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan . Soooo good!!! My vegetarian friend got Chana Saag. (see pictures). Everything is served plated with basmati rice and dal soup. Topped it with a soothing Mango Lassi.
The wait staff is so attentive without buzzing all around you. The prices are still great too. Left with our doggie bags feeling soooo satisfied. Loved my lunch the next day too!!!
Decent.
Good, but not the best.
The sauce was really thin, almost like it was watered down. Doesn't give enough rice. But good service
Prices weren't that cheap.
I recommend Rasoi in Jersey City instead.
Not for vegetarians!. The other day I went for a lunch buffet at Karma Kafe and I was really really disappointed. They just had two vegetarian curries- one was chana masala and other was boiled green beans. Both the vegetables were really very very average. They had no vegetarian appetizers. It was really a disappointing meal. Really for a vegetarian there were no choices. Their dessert was poor too. I don't think I am ever going to go to Karma Kafe for lunch buffet again. It is certainly not a place for vegetarians.
Yummy. If you like Indian food you are in for a treat. The food here was great, a treat from beginning to end. Good food at the right price, what more can you ask for.
Exotic Delights Awaits. Indian food is just not flavored with curry. Karma KAFE packs the heat with their melange of spices that give their grilled meats a tangy bite. Be it beef or chicken, the warm nan bread, biryani rice and salad with the delectable white sauce, it's a pleasure dome of good eats. The cozy and broody ambiance gives this place a great Karmic vibe!
