Not worth the view. So disappointed with our experience. We went on Thanksgiving holiday and opted for the a la carte seating. Initial wait was 25 minutes behind schedule - but that can easily happen on a holiday. The service was well below standard - Patricia, the server, seemed overwhelmed and was not attentive. The bread basket contained 2 rolls - both stale - and 2 stale crackers which was surprising. The salad had obviously been prepared a day or so in advance (which is not unusual in a restaurant) but the dressing had turned bitter. Also, the plate was covered in condensation which indicated it had been taken out of the fridge and placed in the open air for too long. The calamari appetizer was certainly frozen and likely delivered from a vendor like Sysco. For the price it should have been prepared fresh. The entree is where we really had issues starting with the fact Patricia had forgotten to place the order. She came to the table and apologized and said she'd get the food out "on the fly". She also said that the manager was probably too busy to come over but he had said we could each have a complimentary dessert - anything we wanted - due to the error. When the food did finally come the filet mignon was low grade meat and the quality horrible. The preparation of the meat was substandard and improperly cooked. This isn't surprising considering that the food came out "on the fly" but I felt that had it been cooked properly the quality still would have not been what a $38 entree should have been. The vegetables and potatoes were standard fare - nothing to rave about. When I shared that I was unhappy with my meal the general manager did come over and while he tried to be lovely I was shocked when I was asked to describe what was wrong with my meat. I work in the hospitality industry and there are times when you should simply take the guest feedback and leave it at that. They did offer me - in fact tried to insist - that I get a free dessert but I just wanted to get out of there - at that point it had been 2 hours. While the view is stunning the service and quality and price do not warrant a visit at all.

Don't go for the food.. Drinks are reasonably priced. Awesome view. BUT ugh! Food is Bland Bland Bland. The presentation is barely better than taking a TV dinner and sliding onto a plate. The Rice tastes like Uncle Bens, and the Fish comes out cold. Apps are OK. Seriously for the price I should have just gone to Houlihans.

View. I have been here several times, never a disappointment. I attended a wedding here, I was blown away! Really a nice place, food is always great and the view is so fantastic, you can see from the GW to the battery. Watching the ships go by and sipping a cocktail at this place really takes you to a nicer time.

Excellent Views. My boyfriend took me here not even as a result of a special occasion, but just as a Sunday evening treat. I have always wanted to try this place out and it was well worth it. Located on the waterfront, there is plenty of parking in this secluded area of Weehawken. We had reservations and were seated immediately by the friendly hostess. Our server was extremely knowledgable on the menu. There is an outdoors, so if it is warm enough, couple can enjoy a nice glass of wine outside, overlooking the Hudson. I had the Halibut while my date had the Mahi Mahi. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Also, the menu is a little more than simple, but you are able to make substitutions and interchange many things on the menu. AWESOMEEEE IDEA. Why restrict yourself? ANNNNDD the server was so friendly he would suggest making another decision if your own "chef choice" was not exactly...trustworthy. It is a large restaurant and dimly lit. Not much for eclectic ambiance, however great food and good service.

Tasty Food. The quality of food here is by far the best. The food looks as good as it tastes (if not better). Going to fancy restaurants you expect tiny little portions, but the portions here are actually very decent. Remember to save room for dessert because they are very delicious.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in terms of taste alone.

Nice view, Nasty kitchen. Great view, poor kitchen, poor table service. I've been several times in the past few months because of its proximity to where i live. Bartenders are friendly and the lounge is the best option. Go for apps and drinks, then head into the city for dinner. take a pass on the overpriced, very average food. The bass is typically undercooked, the salmon overcooked. Steak's not bad, but not what you want at a seafood restaurant. Bisque is better than the chowder. Oysters had shell splinters in them and no mignonette option, just cocktail sauce. Service is brutal on the dining room floor, but view is spectacular. Managers nod and smile, but are there as lightning rods for complaints more than decision makers. Stick to the bar and drinks only if possible.

For more than 40 years, this chain restaurant has served seafood and steaks in a relaxed atmosphere.. In Short
Founded in 1961 in Colorado, Chart House now has more than 25 U.S. locations. The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu with offerings like jumbo lump crab cakes, mahi mahi and Australian lobster tail. For landlubbers, there's prime rib, filet mignon and N.Y. strip steak. Sweet finishes include hot chocolate lava cake and raspberry creme brulee.

Dirty, bland food, horrible service. I am from NYC and our group decided to head over to NJ for a change. We arrived, had a drink, waited for our table ,and waited some more. Finally got a nice table, but that was about it. It seemed to take eons for someone to approach us. As we were waiting, we noticed the silverware had spots on it, and there were crumbs all over the floor from the previous diners. The menu was kind of pricey for a chain restaurant, and usually you get what you pay for. Not here. The food was incredibly bland, and downright horrible. Even the dessert was not that great. We had preordered a chocolate cake which was overcooked and dry. We definitely will not be back, so save your money and come to NYC where you can have an amazing meal for the same price.

Not expensive!. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. The food was very very good. I had the mahi mahi and it was perfect! Had a nice balanced taste. The pina colada was very good as compared to other places. The view of the NYC skyline was great while having dinner. Kid and family friendly atmosphere, and romantic as well. And whomever tells you that its expensive must either be a hobo, cheap, or talking b.s. because plates start in the mid $20's and go up to $40. Desserts are all good, try the molten lava cake and the key lime pie. Drinks are reasonably priced as well. Valet park your car for $4 till their parking lot is renovated. For a large group of 15 with a full course menu (appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks), bill was only $800 including the gratuity. Well worth it.

Go for the drinks only. I had dinner today, a family dinner. The food was not fresh. My grilled salmon was dry, vegetables were very bad, nothing had taste, this is my honest opinion and I don't feel bad to say that. Same applies to clam chawder and Lobster bisque. This was very disappointing when you invite people; theres was as bad. I was very embarrassed. Waiters are same like the ones you find in Atlantic city, none professionals. Sorry to tell you, but I am blunt. So, go for the view and a drink. The panorama is amazing.
