Simply the best!

I've never written an online review and probably never will again, but I simply have to tell the world how terrific Direct Depot is--I've never experienced such great service. Our summer house was destroyed by fire, and so we had to replace the kitchen, bathrooms, and built-ins quickly and affordably (our insurance company, which will go nameless but is known as the best in the business, was absolutely dreadful, and we collected less than half of the insured valuation). The Starmark cabinets arrived on time in excellent condition (one door was damaged, but Direct Depot immediately requested a replacement). Best of all, they look terrific and were a fraction of the cost of other cabinets I'd checked out. I can't say enough good things about Bill Hancock--he was so very helpful and patient as I dithered my way through style and color choices, and he saved me a ton of money by making invaluable suggestions on where I could cut back without sacrificing quality. He and Direct Depot are one in a million!

Wonderful Experience

I've shopped at 7 other cabinet dealers before deciding on giving my business to DDK. I love that DDK has such convenient hours and the showroom is fantastic. There is a play area and camera in the office so parents can see the children playing when meeting with the designer. I ordered Starmark cabinets and the prices are very good esp. given that the hardware came with the purchase. I shopped at other dealers including those that supply Starmark, Thomasville and Kraftmaid cabinets. I also debated over getting Kraftmaid cabinets for 2k less but decided the Starmark quality was worth the extra cost.

The only one issues I had was the depth of my wetbar area was off by several inches but that's partly my fault for not checking before signing the paperwork. Also, I had to get 2 replacement cabinets 'cus of a miscalculation to one and a shipping damage to the other. The replacement cabinets also came in later than promised but that may have been a result of ordering during the holidays. The customer service rep I dealt with, Bill, was very responsive and accommodating. I would not hesitate to use this dealer again or recommend them.

Great Experience! Great Team!

My contractor recommended I go see Bill Hancock at Direct Depot in advance of doing demolition in our 1910 kitchen. We knew we were working with some tricky conditions; incorporating an existing brick chimney and some unknown conditions due to yet to be demolished multiple layers of wall board, plaster and lathe. We worked with Bill in the showroom and remotely via go to meeting through several (at least 3) designs to arrive at a final plan. Bill tirelessly worked through and gave great suggestions while always allowing us freedom to arrive at our own solutions. On Bill's recommendation we worked with Miguel in the appliance showroom also through several appliance options to arrive at a Stainless Fridgidaire Professional set. Miguel never seemed thrown by our many wide ranging and often changing requirements. With the existing brick and quarter sawn oak shaker style cabinetry by Starmark anchoring the design we now had to begin to work on tile and countertop selection. We had been pretty comfortable up untill this point that we were on the right track with design finishes and styles but admit freely with tile and countertops we were out of our depths. Again upon Bill's recommendation we saw Steven and Lorenzo in the tile showroom. Steven an NY School of Interior Design graduate knew precisely what we were attempting to accomplish with the renovation. He and Lorenzo were able to pull some completed job photos to help us visualize materials and colors in place. We ultimately selected entire walls of white subway tile, honed black absolute granite countertops and 12X24 floor tile layed out in a running bond pattern. Beyond this Steven directed us to great online resources for period appropriate lighting and a specialty sink for the powder room. The exceptional service and unparalleled expertise provided by this team of professionals was imperitive to us as homeowners. Undertaking this renovation was very consuming and there was real potential for missteps: This team along with an incredibly talented contractor made the end result great!

Great products, great service!

When we were planning our kitchen renovation, we started out by looking at ready-to-assemble cabinets. While they tend to be less expensive (because they are not assembled), the selection is very limited and the quality is unknown. My husband stumbled on a review of Direct Depot while doing an online search. Direct Depot has a wide selection of high quality, fully assembled, custom and semi-custom cabinetry at an extremely reasonable prices. There were so many choices that we had a tough time making up our minds! We finally went with a contemporary, maple cabinet from Starmark that is just beautiful. The cabinets are so well made, and come with great features like the soft close drawers (standard) and the soft close doors (an option). There are many options available for storage and organizing every aspect of the kitchen. There is a large selection of hardware which came standard with the cabinets.

Bill was our designer, and he was great in helping us fine tune our plans. He also gave my husband advice and many tips since my husband was installing the cabinets himself. I highly recommend him! Arielle in customer service is amazing. I was devastated when a few of our cabinets were delivered and had been damaged during shipping. I contacted Arielle, and she was so helpful and accommodating. The replacement cabinets were ordered and delivered in an expeditious manner and without a hassle. Arielle kept us informed every step of the way.

We also purchased a wine cooler from Garden State Appliances (a division of Karl’s) and are working with Counter and Tiles for our granite countertop and tile backsplash. It is so convenient having everything in one building.

We are very pleased with Direct Depot and highly recommend them! We would not hesitate to go there again.

Highly recommend - they were GREAT !!

Our experience renovating our kitchen was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we walked into the showroon, we felt comfortable about the project. Our designer was amazing, and a total professional. We ended up using several of their affiliated companies, including Reliable Installations (contractors), the appliances and the granite countertops. Access to all the vendors made it a one stop shopping experience, and everyone was friendly and professional. The contractors were also exceptional. It is rare these days to find such an outstanding business to work with in making our dream kitchen come true. We will enjoy our new kitchen for many years to come!
