Beautiful cut. After living in New York for a year, and hopping from salon to salon, I'm glad I finally found Maria Bonita. I would receommend Maria herself. She knows what she's doing.

Beautiful Brazilian Blowout!. Roger was my first -- for a Brazilian blowout that is. It was gorgeous and I loved it. Then I went to another salon and had it done. Big mistake! So when it was time to have it done again, I went back to Roger at Maria Bonita and I will never have it done anywhere else again. This guy knows what he's doing. He takes his time, he is friendly and attentive and my hair ends up looking shiny and fabulous. Seriously, the best place to have it done in NYC.

Best Wax in Town. I run to Maria's at lunch for a wax once a week and am in and out in 15 minutes. Best waxes in the city at fair price with great service.

Brazilian Manicure - WHAT TO EXPECT!!!. Extremely professional, clean and friendly... Tha's what define best a good brazilian salon. I am Brazilian living in NYC for the past 6 years. First thing that I used todo when I would go to Brazil was to rush to a salon because I can't stand the salons here in NYC.

Now I don't crave a brazilian salon anymore... =)

I hate doing my nails anywhere else in NYC. Because americans don't mind the quick, weak and sloppy work done by 99% manicurists here in NYC.

THIS IS WHAT A BRAZILIAN MANICURE MEANS GIRLS, so if you don't know or never had it done you will know what to expect:

1- THEY WILL REALLY CLEAN YOUR NAILS' CORNERS (remove CUTICULES, LOSE SKIN, ETC.);

2- THEY WILL REALLY PAINT YOUR NAILS (NO CORNERS LEFT UNPAINTED JUST BECAUSE OF LAZYNESS)... IT may seem they are sloppy at first but relax, they know what they are doing... they paint the entire nail (even the tiny corners where is normally hard to reach) then remove the excess with a cotton ...

3- Because they paint the ENTIRE nail, your manicure/pedicure will last much longer than a regular one,

4 - Always ask for how you want you nails to be filled or cut, otherwise the manicurist will do what matches best with the base of your fingernails or entire hand (depending on length of nails, fingers, your personal style, etc.

5 - It may take a little longer than usual, because they are pretty perfectionist and detailed oriented... I particularly rather have a manicure that lasts 40 min than one that lasts 20 and is sloppy...

I FEEL LIKE I AM IN HEAVEN... I FOUND A BRAZILIAN BEAUTY FOUNTAIN IN NYC.

Once you get used to this, you most likely will not settle for anything else

Rogerio is the MAN!!!!. OMG i was an hour late to my appointment - NO BODY GAVE ME ATTITUDE OR ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

SUPER-FRIENDLY STAFF.

Then after my shampoo, Rogerio proceeded to give me the best hair cut of my life. It wasn't just me thinking this either, EVERYONE was saying it to me. This was March 1, 2010. I went in with a pic of what I've wanted for so long but no one could capture it's essence and translate it to my hair. But Rogerio went to town. I mean he cut it, was in the process of blow drying it, decided he wasn't done after all, sprayed my hair, cut it some more, blow dried it AGAIN and styled the hell out of it. Did I mention I was an hour late?!!! Miraculously, as it's growing in it's GETTING BETTER!!

:-o

Everyone is like "Oh you got your haircut?" Ummmm...no, it's GROWING. Needless to say, nobody is ever coming at my head again unless it's Rogerio-

EVER

yes! go HERE for brazilian straightening, haircut and MORE. I just got brazilian straightening and a haircut from Roger...i dread the salon like most dread the dentist and this was quite the positive experience!! Roger is super friendly and sweet and aside from his talent with my hair, he is superb at delivering customer service!! He told me that when we were through, i would become a client and he predicted correctly - I'll see him in 3-4 months for my next treatment.

I left with a smile on my face and gorgeously healthy locks - def worth checking out for your next salon need!!

Brazilian Blowout. I got a Brazilian blowout yesterday with Roger. He is so friendly and reassured me that my hair would come out beautiful. I washed my hair today and did nothing to it. It air dried into the perfect blow dry. I love it! I'm so excited to not have to blow dry and flat iron my hair this summer. All frizz is gone!

Brazilian Blowout with Roger. I finally decided to get a brazilian blowout after I cut my wavy/frizzy hair to shoulder length to try to look more "professional" for my new job. Unfortunately, the haircut required a lot more work each morning because I had to straighten it every day. I read a few reviews for this salon, and Roger in particular, and decided to go for it. I am very happy with my hair. It has been about two weeks since I have gotten it done, and although it is still mostly straight and not frizzy, there is definitely a difference between the first week and now (even though I have been using all the brazilian blow out products). The process takes a long time- almost 3 hours (they estimate around 2 hours but for me it seemed to take extra long because I have a LOT of hair). Also, lately there have been little pieces of skin that appear in my hair when I brush it (like big pieces of dandruff) but they are easy enough to pick out. I think this might be due to the blow drying process because the heat occasionally felt like it was burning my scalp. For the next few days after the treatment my hair smelled like these chocolate candles I used to have, which isn't as bad as some of the other treatments out there. Overall, I am very happy with the treatment. It definitely takes less time to blow dry my hair, and I can just finger dry it and it will turn out the way it used to only after blow drying and flat ironing my hair. I will probably get the treatment again when it wears off. Roger was great. He is very friendly and makes you feel like you are old friends even if it is your first time seeing him. I highly suggest both the treatment and Roger.

Brazilian Blow Out!. OMG! I’ve been relaxing my hair for 20 years and THANK GOD I finally found Roger! I literally have tried every straightner/relaxer product on the market! From Japanese treatments to organic/natural products. Brazilian (blow out) Keratin is the way to go! I am Hispanic with extremely curly hair that is absolutely a nightmare to manage in humid weather. Roger assured me my hair would be straight & no more frizz! I just came back from Miami and truly my hair was completely straight, smooth and no frizz! It’s a freakin miracle!
