The Scene – During the lunch rush, two cooks and one counter guy scramble to put orders together while the phone rings off the hook. Most of those calls are delivery or takeout orders. The restaurant, which moved from a smaller space next door, now seats small groups comfortably, but it's still a mostly takeout affair. – – The Food – Almost every sandwich has a vegetarian counterpart, and often it's as good or better than the meaty original. In fact, the Big Mack Daddy--a veggie burger topped with tofu bacon and all the fixings on a brioche bun--is probably the best…

Yummy

by jenniferw99

Their food is good, the prices are pretty decent. The Big Mack Daddy is good and seems healthy!

In the past few months they've gotten better at not being rude, and actually answering the phone, so now I go there more. They must have gotten rid of those stupid hipsters!

  • Pros: Tasty, easy, options
  • Cons: Sometimes rude but not recently

What happened to Tiny's

by nyles

I've been living on the LES for 9 years, and have always loved Tiny's. Decent sandwiches and salads, cheap and convenient. In a neighborhood full of jam packed restaurants, Tiny's was the quick, painless and satisfying antidote. But I think little Tiny has gotten too big for its own britches. I agree with some of the other reviewers...business ethic/service has sort of slipped recently. Since they moved, nobody ever answers the phone--they used to be to the go-to delivery place in the hood...not any more. Wish we could have the old Tiny's back! Perhaps it's just a sign of the times in the LES.

Tiny's Giant Disaster

by sansanese

Tiny's is about the laziest business on the planet. It's a miracle they're still open considering the fact that they're a sandwich shop that is consistently out of bread. Their hours of operation are never what they say. They stop answering the phone when it gets within an hour or two of closing so they dont have to do any last minute deliveries. It's basically the worst sandwich shop ever, but I will admit some of their sandwiches are good--none are great. The guy must be rich, because he clearly doesn't care about his business.

  • Pros: Quick and Convenient
  • Cons: Everything else
