Mediocre.
I was not at all impressed with this restaurant. I went to this place on Saturday for dinner and drinks with some friends and the waiter was rude and very slow at bringing our food. The service and food were mediocre at best. I picked this place based on all the previous reviews and it makes me wonder if they were written by the restaurant employees.
The only thing nice about this place is the 2 crystal chandeliers.

AWESOME FOOD...EVERY TIME!. I'VE BEEN TO JUST ABOUT EVERY "GREAT" RESTAURANT IN NYC AND I HAVE TO SAY....THE ONE RESTAURANT THAT I HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO COME BACK TO IS SEVEN. THE MENU IS DIVERSE AND CHANGES THROUHOUT THE YEAR. EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER ORDERED HAS BEEN MOUTHWATERING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT BAR SCENE. THIS RESTAURANT AND CHEF SHOULD RECEIVE MUCH MORE RECOGNITION...ITS A KEEPER!

Very Impressive. I went to seven for a friend's bday the other night and was very impressed. The decor is modern elegance and the food was amazing! Its a great restaurant with good food at prices that won't make you broke for the rest of the week. I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed! I will surely be back soon!!

Delicious!. The food here is delicious! I had the scallops which were amazing! The service was very good and the atmosphere is beautiful. I will be back again!

Great for pre-MSG dinner. We went to Seven just before the Eric Clapton concert on 9/29/06. The location is perfect for a pre-concert dinner. We had a reservation and were seated immediately on a nice round table, which I prefer to a rectangular one. The menu had a variety of selections and they also offered very interesting specials. Some in our party had the Filet Mignon, I had the Pork Chops and others had a pasta special with broccolirabe and roasted peppers. There were 8 of us and everyone was pleased. From the reviews posted, I knew the Apple Martini was a specialty. I ordered one and was not disappointed. The Clapton music they were playing was a nice touch, although we couldn't really hear it from where we were sitting. All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

User review by thelethalkitten. Was there once a few years back, and I remember a bustling, trendy place with great decor and a fantastic looking, flirtatious waiter. But I don't remember what I ate, but it was decent. I think it was a little pricey, though.

Top Chelsea Restaurant. High-end restaurant with excellent atmosphere. Beautiful on the inside with 2 huge custom Waterford crystal chandeliers. I have had the seafood, lamb and steak many times and have never been dissappointed. Extensive wine list. Prompt service. Will not fail to impress.

Not Bad If You're At MSG. Our third visit, I won't review based on just one time. Food is okay, service needs some work. Quite convenient if you're going to MSG as we were - they should sit all the noisy, rude kids elsewhere or give the parents a lesson on manners themselves. When Chef is on the mark, food is good. Wasn't so great this time, but Shania was starting soon and they were swamped. Don't bother telling how you want your meat prepared, it will come out however they get it to you. We'll go again as tired of Mustang's and the pubs around the Garden, but I just keep ordering different stuff hoping to find the sweet spot.

great place great food.
when to sevens on friday after the knicks game. loved the decor and the chandlers, got seated right away by the friendly hostess and had a great time.
the food is unbelieveable I had the skate the chef`s signature dish and my friends had the lobster risotto and the mother rib eye steak what a meal. They make great apple martinis and if you have room for desserts try the coffee & doughnuts.
A great place to go before or after a game kitchen open until 12.00pm
