Man Meals, picnics and parties!
by Liz Lindsey
I can second all the good reviews I see here: great traditional Italian subs in huge portions with can't-be-beat-prices, and a large variety of fresh breads, meats and cheeses to choose from. One sandwich is enough for a Man Meal. Two sandwiches make for a great picnic for four (although you'll have to get your wine some other place, no alcohol available here). Six sandwiches with some extra cuts provide eats for an entire party; I have a friend in the area who loves to throw parties, and a stop by Parisi's is always a part of her party preparations.
A few tips: The no-frills atmosphere and service is probably what makes for their excellent prices so don't expect anything fancy, it's strictly a take-out only place. Do expect to wait in line for 10 minutes or so if you go any time around lunch hour. And be sure to bring cash, not cards!
Parisi Bakery - a lot has changed
by Italianhoney198
Parisi's Bakery has been on Mott Street ever since I was a kid. The bread is the best, Boar's head cold cuts are always #1. Adrienne (owner's wife) is a nasty, disagreeable person who shouldn't work with people in general. Rob (owner's son) is a small minded ignorant fool who wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for his father. Stop smoking the pots! When the owner is around it's all great and a lot of laughs. He is all about customer service. His family should stay home or get jobs with the IRS.
- Pros: Great bread, sandwiches
- Cons: Adrienne & Robert
Fantastic Bread
by camillelynette
We went to Parisi's last weekend. The provolone cheese bread, was wonderful. Carmine and staff were very friendly. The bruchetta was very flavorful. I walked around all day with my cheesy bread wrapped up and in my bag. When we got back to PA, it was still very fresh, soft and buttery. It heated nicely in the microwave and the cheese melted perfectly. I will definetly go back. I liked it better than Vesuvio's.
- Pros: Food very fresh, and reasonable prices.
- Cons: Small deli, crowded. But that's understandable, because they are good. Call orders ahead.
Best bread, hands down

Parisi bakery has the best bread around. I have been going there for over 10 years and my family for about 20 and they never disappoint.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nothing
One of Little Italy's Best
by NY_Insider
As the fabric of the area changed from Little Italy to the now fashionable Nolita, I am glad that Parisi is still around and remains unchanged. I have been going there for over twenty years and I am glad they did not give way to some hipster bar or boutique. To put it simply, they make the best hero sandwiches around. Fresh bread, heaps of toppings and great prices. There's usually a wait at lunch time when the local Police and firemen fill up the place but its worth the wait. Go to Parisi for a taste of Little Italy how it used to be.
- Pros: Fresh sandwiches, Good portions, Inexpensive
