“Great ambience & excellent service.”
“would definatly come back and recommend this place to my friends.”
“This was my first facial and even though my student budget allowed me only the least expensive facial at $45 (60 min), service was pleasant.”
“Never going to a pricey salon again!”
very disappointed. I’ve been to Beauty Choice (aka B Be Beauty) for facials for a few years now. I went there through recommendations and I have also referred a few friends throughout the years. Every time I talk about Be Beauty, I always say this place may be a bit more expensive than other Chinatown facial places but I still prefer it because I get the relaxation and a good facial. I get one on one treatment with my esthetician (in other places one work on two people) and they are very meticulous with the extraction. So in the end it is worth it. However, lately I have not been getting the same experience. They have gotten more business and I feel that they are lacking in attention and facial is not as good. I went there recently and I feel like they didn’t clean my face at all. During my treatment, my esthetician left three times to attend to another customer and one time was gone for nearly 20 min! I was so upset. In the past, my face would clear up a lot after a facial. This time, I can feel that she barely touched my face and I had to tell her to specifically extract some very obvious white heads. If I didn’t say something, she wouldn’t have done it. I didn’t see any improvement on my skin after the facial (this was second one already in one month). So I decided to stop going and extract on my own. There were so many hard oily bumps on my forehead. How can she miss them? I can feel them under my skin. I was not relaxed at my last few facials with the coming and going and the worrying of her not doing a good job. I feel so disappointed but I still have a few more facials in my package. It may be my fault, I tend to get overly excited when I like something and refer all my friends. This may have caused my esthetician to get popular and busier – as a result, less time on me! I hope there will be some improvement on my next facial! I am most upset about the poor job she did. I really liked this place in the past; please go back to being attentive and good.
Best Facial in the City. I absolutely love Beauty Choice. I have been several times and have never been let down. The price is fantastic and so is the quality of the facial. I paid for 90 minutes, but when I left and looked at my watch I realized I had been in there for over 2 hours! Cindy really took her time with me. The extraction was not as painful as other facials from other places because they take time to "warm" up your face a lot before they start. I was there this morning and already my face is almost back to normal, not all red and blotchy like other places. She really seemed to want be to have a great experience, which I did. I left feeling rejuvenated and pretty. I will be back, soon!
Professional Service. I highly recommend Beauty One. They are very professional. I was very happy with my facial, I will be returning soon.
I have been going to Beauty Choice for over five years and still look forward to my visits even though I no longer live right down the block. Have been to numerous places and find this place knows what they are doing.
Have recommended many friends and family to go there and they all love it and would never go anywhere else. I used to have lots of breakouts and etc. Now I have a nice glowing complexion thanks to them.
Extremely painful, exposed massage.
This is the first time I've ever written a product review online and am only doing so because I feel it's important to share my experience. Please be warned that this could be a standard Chinatown complaint that is not specific to this facility. If you love massages in the area, feel free to give this place a try.
First of all, "hands off"!! I am not conservative with my massages but I have never felt so uncomfortable. The therapist had me put on a thong and the towel arrangement procedure was very informal. In other words, I did not feel covered.
Additionally, the massage was PAINFUL. I love deep massages, which is why I was unafraid to venture into China Town. However, the entire experience hurt. Quite frequently, it felt as if she was just pushing down very hard on my bone... which was strange to me. Also, I didn't feel better a few days later, which is usually the sign of a good massage. I felt like it was a huge waste of money, especially since it's not that much less than other facilities.
Truth be told, it's my fault for not stopping her but I felt so uncomfortable about the whole thing that I just sat through it.
My recommendation is to go if you dare but be prepared to speak up. From now on, I'll be sticking with overpriced mainstream gigs. Good luck. :o)
Best beauty salon visit ever!.
Great ambience & excellent service. Definitely worth the money!
Feeling so relaxing during the entire stay. I just learned that they now have a new location right next door offering body detoxification & sliming packages. Will definitely sign up in the next month or so to get myself ready for the summer!
Best facial!. I highly recommend this place! Out of all the facials I've had in the city, this is probably by far one of the best I've had. I am constantly trying new spas in the city and have yet to find a place that give such a great facial for this price. I had the regular facial ($60) from Sze and it lasted 2 hours. She was so thorough and gave very long massage. You can not beat the price and also such a great facial here in the city. You must go here!
Face in Pain...not recommended.
I decided to try this place after reading the review, $75 for 90 min. I dont have the perfect skin to start with but I am not the sensitive type and my skin condition wasnt too bad either (only occasional break-out during "that" time of the month)...but after the facial (over extracting) ... my face was buring and even the cold mask wasnt helping. I have spots all over my face now.
(Base on the review from another reviewer) I had actually tried the other store on the corner I think their cold masks are better, although I dont know how much their regular facial costs (I had a gift voucher when I went there last time) But if I would ever need a facial again, I would go some other places, just not Beauty Choice (BBe) again
I think you are one of my competitor, You just made this up! Because we don't have any gift voucher offer to customers for last two years!
Negative ending to a positive experience.
This was my first facial and even though my student budget allowed me only the least expensive facial at $45 (60 min), service was pleasant. I was the only customer in the salon at the time, so the girl who did my facial was attentive and careful, although she kept leaving the room to take care of things outside (not sure why; there were several other staff members having lunch in the store). My basic facial consisted of a scrub, cream, extraction, the electronic technology that's supposed to zap away blemish-causing bacteria, and a mask.
The only rain on the parade was at the very end, when the girl who did my facial rang me up and gave me a dirty look in response to the 15% tip amount I asked her to tack onto my bill and made a comment about it to a co-worker as if I weren't standing in front of her. Since I hadn't used spa services before, I thought the tip rate was standard; apparently I was mistaken.
Everything had been professional and enjoyable except for that negative ending, which struck me as oddly unprofessional considering how agreeable service had been up until that point.
Fabulous Facial ,Great Staff And Skillful. I have enjoyed my experience there a lot. The facial was very good . Everyone was very friendly, I felt very comfortable there, the atmospere was very pleasant. I would definatly come back and recommend this place to my friends.
