A Glamourous & Eclectic Mix of 20th Century American & European Designers. Lobel Modern carries furnishings dating from the 1940s to the 1980s by Edward Wormley, Tommi Parzinger, Harvey Probber and Paul Evans, and also boasts a strong representation of designs by Karl Springer. Neither one offs nor mass produced, most of the items were originally made to order customizations created by top designers. The overall aesthetic is clean and graceful; with a luxurious minimalism derived from a perfection of craftsmanship and materials. The beautiful and rare pieces finished in dyed python skin, lacquered goat hide and ivory; are particularly impressive. I'm a designer and shop Todd Merrill and the others too, but I always find myself back at Lobel Modern to pickup what my clients are really looking for. Lobel Modern in my opinion has the most unique and impressive collection I've ever seen.
