Dov salon & wigs is the best!. I highly recommend Dov. I am very satisfied with my topper. He made it look so real that not even a hairstylist could not tell the difference!

Excellent Hairpiece!. Highly recommend Dov! He is amazing at what he does, and a very friendly person, too. You will be in good hands. See him as soon as you know you are losing hair. Even if your hair is still OK and the hairloss is not terribly obvious, I can tell you from experience it is *much* better to have a hairpiece on hand than it is to go around feeling self-conscious about your hair. Losing hair is hard enough, so try and make the transition as easy as possible. It increases your confidence so much! If you have never worn a top-piece before, it's best to go to New York to pick it up and get it cut in from Dov himself. He will teach you how to use it so you feel confident putting it on, and you will come out looking and feeling great :)

Why did I wait so long. I am a 58 year old woman with hereditary hair loss which has resulted in overall thinning of my hair and ever more noticeable bald spot on the crown of my head. I had been embarrassed and worried about my condition, but didn't know what I could do about it. My daughter's upcoming wedding prompted me to look for a solution, and I found Dov on Citysearch after he was recommended on several hair loss sites. He is a kind, understanding man who was able to fit me with a clipon "topper" hairpiece made of 100 per cent human hair which looks absolutely amazing and natural. He cut and styled it and I walked out the same day with my "new hair". The universal reaction from friends, family, and business associates was--wow, you look 10 years younger--did I get new glasses, lose weight--I no longer worry that the wind will blow and reveal a bald spot--its helped me feel better about my overall appearance. His salon is lovely and he creates a friendly, intimate environment where you feel right at home. I highly recommend him--he's made a huge difference and the hair topper is transformational!! If anyone has questions or needs encouragement--post and I will be happy to answer.

Dov is genius. Dov is a caring and kind man who does excellent work, an expert at his craft. He made me a "topper" to cover the top part of my head and sprase hairs along alone my head to cover up my hair loss from chemo. Everyone notices a "huge difference"

Dov has the most amazing hair, and is an amazing person!. No matter why you are experiencing hair loss -whether it's genetic, a disease -it sucks. It's super scary and awful. I went through a year feeling super upset about it, as someone in her mid 20s, you feel you shouldn't have to deal with something that most people aren't dealing with. Then I read reviews of DOV and since I live in NYC, thought it couldn't hurt to go visit him. He custom made a piece for me. It took much longer than what was forecasted but it was totally worth it. No one, including some of my family members, think its fake and everyone compliments my hair. It's the shot of confidence I needed to feel good again, and Dov is one of the sweetest men alive. DONT WALK, RUN TO HIM. You won't be disappointed, I'm so thankful I took the advice of so many peoples reviews.

Amazing Wig. My sister and friends cut off their hair for me when I was diagnosed with alopecia. I took the hair to Dov who turned it into a beautiful wig. Although it took a long time to get made, it matched the picture exactly. It was worth the wait.

Great real hair wig. I'm 29 and battling breast cancer. Losing my hair was much more difficult than I imagined. I did a lot of research and shopping before I found DOV. The problem with other real hair wigs is that they are machine made and the hair doesn't fall naturally. Here, they hand select, color and sew the hair in a way that looks as natural as a wig can look. I've had my wig for 3 weeks now and have received compliments from my friends and family. Also, they gave me everything I needed to submit to my insurance company . If you're looking for a great wig that you can style anyway you want this is the only place to go in NYC.

Do all your research, put your apprehensions on hold, and go have your consultation with Dov. My guess is that your
nervousness about the big step will diminish once you are in this peaceful, friendly salon and Dov takes over.
Dov has all the traits you have read about in earlier reviews: he is patient, kind, and understanding. He is also bright, witty, clearly gifted, and devoted to his art.
None of this matters, though, if you don't love the finished product. And I love the finished product. The texture, styling, color, cut, and construction of my "kipa" are everything I could have hoped for. Dov gives thorough instructions on how to care for the piece, take it on and off, and brush it. And he was absolutely responsive as I went through my long list of of concerns and questions. He has a big heart and a big talent. Just go.

what a difference!.
I went to Dov after reading all the reviews on CitySearch and was still blown away by his kindness and expertise. After years of slinking quietly in and out of salons where no one knew what to do with my thinning hair, this was such a welcome change!!
This salon is an intimate space and Dov takes the time to get to know you and your hair before making a recommendation. He picked up on even the smallest things about my personality and managed to work them into the haircut! -- for instance, I mentioned that my hair used to be very full, so he later showed me how to use a diffuser to get that volume back.
The best part is it's not a sales pitch. I didn't feel pressured to buy any of the products he used (but I did anyway because it came out so good!).
I can't say enough good things! I have finally found my salon in NY!

Dov is AMAZING!.
To say Dov is talented is an understatement.
Dov has an uncanny ability to KNOW exactly what will make you look stunning! In a matter of hours I was transformed. Losing my hair was sad and depressing. Finding Dov was nothing less than miraculous!
My new hair is absolutely perfect! The color, the texture, the cut and style -- I'm the best me I could ever be! My close friends who knew I was getting a wig were blown away by how gorgeous and natural my hair looks. Everyone else I see can't stop telling me they LOVE my new hairstyle!
I came into his salon feeling scared and vulnerable. This man I had just met was so kind, compassionate and patient that all my fears were allayed.
Dov made me look and feel beautiful which is his great gift. Better yet, he took such pleasure in seeing my joy! Dov is a very special man!
