Terrific.
If you want authentic Italian food and you don't want to fly to Italy, try Lanterna.
Lanterna has pasta that tastes like pasta should taste. Like traditional Italian cooking, Lanterna makes dishes that are good because they are simple...not because they are complicated.
They use quality ingredients. They have terrific service and the ambiance is terrific for enjoying a meal.

Good with problems.. Food is always excellent. if expensive. Wait staff needs improvement. Some of the servers look and act like they should be working in diners. I've overheard them cursing loudly in the kitchen on several occasions. Temperature in the place is always uncomfortable. In the summer time the heat in the place is unbearable. While I highly recommend the food, the service needs to be improved, and owner needs to fix the AC or he'll have no customers in the summer.

Great Italian food in Rockland!!. My fiancee and I decided to try this place out for lunch after hearing great things about this restaurant. We were very pleased. Seating was prompt for a Saturday afternoon. The food came out quickly, portions were good, and the staff was attentative. I ordered their Chicken breast entree while my fiancee went with the Ravioli. Both were delicious. I will say that for a lunch it was a bit on the pricey side. The total came out to $58 before tax and tip. This included a soda, a tea, 2 soups, and 2 entrees. In spite of this, we will come back for dinner next time!
