My recommendation: run as fast as you can from New York Wood Flooring. After wasting thousands of dollars on their poor quality installation I had the whole floor redone by another company. They did not stand behind their work, they were unreliable and they rushed through their work at the expense of quality and customer satisfaction. Do yourself a favor--read, and believe, the negative reviews on this site about New York Wood Flooring.

The guys sent to do the work were courteous. Tony guided me away from the stain and paint I originally wanted to something very close but better. He took the time to explain why the wall finish I wanted wouldn't look good on my old walls. He told me his crew would patch here and there and they did. And like everything in an old apartment nothing comes easily. When the guys took the old floor off they found a problem. They didn't just ignore it and finish the job. Tthey called the office to find out what to do. Tony came down, looked and explained to me how we could fix it. I wasn't worried about anything surfacing after I finished paying them and they left. Tony said he got most of his business through recommendations. I can see why. Thanks guys.
