Named by New York Magazine as one of the "101 Best Restaurants in Manhattan" as well as an "overwhleming triumph" by Food and Wine magazine, the only way to truly experience Swifty's is to come and enjoy our food. Swifty?s is more than a place to dine. It?s a way of life?a style of eating, a place for socializing, an approach to entertaining and in many cases a way of dressing.
And the food? Well, Swifty?s is a magnet for those who appreciate beautifully presented, tasty, home-style cooking. The reasonably priced menu combines American and European techniques, featuring seasonal specialties and traditional signature dishes. In its clubby atmosphere, patrons enjoy dining among friends or those they recognize, knowing that the food will always please.

i was brought here by my grandmother and her social set on two occasions...one for lunch and one for a fancy dinner...i was at first dreading this because i am only 21 and this is usually for a much older crowd...however the food was tasty!! (try the lobster rolls on a sunday night in the summer...sensational!!) the service was wonderful and the waitstaff was quite nice to stare at all throughout my dinner....the waitress who helped us looked like a rockstar...wondering why such a cute cool looking girl would choose an "older crowd" restaurant such as this....nevertheless i can't wait to go back!! also try the french fried onion rings!

I went to Swiftys with some friends of the family and we had a very nice dinner, but nothing amazing. This restaurant is known for being "very hot" in its day and it was quite busy when we went. The crowd was older and the restaurant is very cramped, but it has old school charm. I had roast chicken and a salad. Both were very good, but nothing you couldn't get at similar restaurant. This place has a lot of character and it would be nice to have in your neighborhood.
