TERRIBLE CHEATERS DISHONEST people. I trusted them to move my stuff when I was out of town and I could not supervise them do the work. They deliberately took hours to move my stuff 8 streets down as they bill per the hour. They charged 2 hours of traffic on their bill for moving stuff 8 streets down! And also, they charged me $60 dollars for carrying up a wardrobe they argued did not fit in my elevator ($10 for each flight up) and I just discovered the wardrobe easily fits in the elevator. Also, they had said they would dissassemble furniture and reassemble it if necessary, and they DID NOT. DO NOT USE THEM. I ended up paying at least twice or more than what someone else would have charged me.

I have used Move It 4 Less twice since I have lived in New York, the past 5 years, and both times I have been very happy. My most recent experience in June 2012, was no exception. I had a very complicated move where the movers were required to pick up items in one location on UWS and deliver to 3 different locations (2 on the west side of Manhattan and the third stop in Astoria). I was charged $85 and hour for 3 movers (I think it was a mid month moving special). The three movers were amazing, they showed up on time, completed the job in 5 hours and didn't break a thing! They were courtesy and had a good attitude and my boyfriend and I were both very very impressed with them.

Additionally setting this up with Petros, the owner, was quite easy. He was very communicative, supplied one of the buildings I moved to with an insurance certificate without question, and made me feel assured that this move would happen on schedule. (I noticed some moving companies charge you for a certificate of insurance which I find ridiculous. If you have insurance, then it should not cost anything to email a scanned copy of the certificate over to a building. I think many of those companies that charge but insurance for you move and are not a company with legit insurance). Another reason I was very pleased with this company.

Petros and I did, at the end of the move, have a misunderstanding about how much extra the drive time was (he thought I was quoted and hour and I had in writing a half hour) and that shrink wrap and tape was extra which I was unaware and thought I had been told otherwise. After some discussions, Petros only charged the 1/2 hour and refunded the packing materials. Though I wasn't thrilled with a misunderstanding and having to deal with this detail at the end, Petros ended up handling it well and has made me a repeat customer who just recommended this company to 2 sets of friends. For my next move, instead of dealing with quotes from 6-8 moving companies, as I did this time, I will simply book this company.

best moving company nyc. I have used move it 4 less in the past for all my moves. They are hands down the best moving company in NYC. If you need an excellent moving company NYC call move it 4 less today.
