Editorial Review for Cosi – by Gina Goff

In Short
Styled to evoke the feel of a Parisian café, the focal point of each restaurant is an open-flame stone oven, which swiftly turns out thin-crust pizzas, made-to-order panini and open-faced melts on Roman-style flat bread. Fresh ingredients--including mozzarella, tomatoes, buffalo chicken and secret-recipe dressings--are used in both the sandwiches and the long list of specialty salads. Sweet treats like S'mmm.Oreos (chocolate bar, graham crackers and marshmallows with an extra-large Oreo cookie) are equally popular.

The Extras

To add a little local flavor to each store, the management displays and sells the work of local artists.

Save Time

Organizing a lunch meeting? The Cosi Boardroom Buffet offers a basket of assorted sandwiches, along with a fruit-and-cheese platter and house-made potato chips.

Recently I dined at Cosi on Broadway and 76th and was sad to witness small pests on the ground. It was disgusting. While the food was good, it's hard to digest when one sees little creatures emerging from the crevices in the wall. I've eaten at Cosi's for years and it is a good restaurant but they may need to look into pest control. It's an issue.

Pros: Great food and service

Cons: Pests
