“Although the decor is appealing and homey, the food is horrible!”
“Highly recommend the chicken fingers, veggie burger, blackened salmon, apple salad, and most definitely the apple-berry crisp served piping hot topped with crispy oats and ice cream.”
“The food is great (and so is the wine!)”
“love the food.”
“The food is delicious and they have a great beer selection.”
“The best neighborhood place!”
“Great food, great waitress!”
“Everything on the menu is delicious, affordable and good solid American/Italian comfort food.”
“I've been to Fetch a few times for brunch and the place is great for a quick meal.”
Fetch is a nice, comfortable, quality joint with two hugely attractive features: a first-rate, completely authentic philly cheesesteak, and an even rarer welcome for dogs.
slightly disappointing.
Cool place,
Food was ok, something tells me Sunday evening is the B team. Most of the reviews seem to love the food, and ours was pretty mediocre. I'm not a picky eater at all, but my steak tasted like oil and not much else, vegetables were underdone, mashed potatos were ok. Her greek salad was pretty good though.
Service was ok also. The waitress was nice and friendly, but we ran dry on drinks several times, while she sat at the bar watching television. Food came out quickly, and was brought by someone other than her.
I may give it another shot since the other reviews are so good, but I wouldn't go on a Sunday.
This place never disappoints!.
I have been to Fetch four times so far, and it never disappoints. Though the place always seems packed, I almost never have to wait for a table. The one time I had to wait, we sat comfortably at the bar and had a drink. The hostess was so apologetic that we had to wait 15 minutes.
The food is delicious and they have a great beer selection. Typically, I enjoy my own food, but also drool over what I see everyone else ordering. I recommend the meatloaf and the chicken club salad. I'm also dying to try their calamari.
The service is prompt and the staff always seems so friendly. I love that this place is not too formal and very comfortable. On their patio, they also put out water for dogs. Such a cute touch! Their dog photo decor is also adorable.
I will continue to frequent Fetch. What a great neighborhood restaurant!
Yummy!. I LOVE this place. The decor is super cute and perfect for dog lovers. My boyfriend and I have dinner here pretty much any time I'm in the city. The tables are intimate and not too fussy. There is usually only a small candle, sometimes flowers. The food is delicious, big portions and reasonably priced. :)
Great comfort food in a cute atmosphere. I've been going to fetch for 4 years now...great burgers! The service is always friendly and the owner and his wife are almost always around circulating and greeting the customers. They have tons of cute pictures of dogs all over the walls that customers have brought it....bring yours in a frame and they will hang it up! They let you dine in the front with your dog during the warmer months. A great place that I will continue to visit.
Good comfort food.
I normally go for places that have new and interesting food, but Fetch is one of the few places I keep going back to for the basics. The meatloaf is fantastic and the burgers are perfect, especially the burger bowl (burger and an egg over rice and smothered in gravy anyone?) The salads all taste very good, especially the Adam's Apple salad and the Asian steak salad. I don't recommend the philly cheese steak rolls unless you follow the Cheez Whiz school of cheese steak perfection (I prefer real cheese in mine). The calamari is grilled instead of fried, making it simply delicious. The only complaint I have is that I enjoy a bourbon and Coke with my dinner and the Coke in this place is always very flat.
The people who work in this place are real nice and very friendly, especially the big, scary-looking, biker-type host (he might be the owner?) As a plus, you can dine with your dogs in the sidewalk eating area. The ambiance inside is pretty standard, more cozy than a diner and comfortable to hang around in. Pictures of dogs adorn all of the walls and I think they run some kind of adoption program there as well.
In short, Fetch is a restaurant with a heart that offers good food at a decent price and probably something on the menu for almost anyone.
The best neighborhood place!. I have loved Fetch for many years. When you're looking for a good neighborhood place, this is it. Love the beer, the brunch, the steak, the mashed potatoes and the burgers. My only complaint is that they don't change the menu much and don't have any daily specials (well they say they switch up the soups and risotto but it seems like the options are always the same). I'm writing this in hopes that the owners will see it. Hey owners/chef- we'll come to Fetch more often if you change up the menu a bit or just start doing daily/weekly specials to spice it up a bit. We love Fetch but get bored sometimes. I've tried almost everything on the menu and would love some new choices!
Brunch is the Best. Really simple and good brunch. Strawberry butter is amazing. Price range is typical for UES.
Great service and food!. My new favorite place to eat. The food is great (and so is the wine!), the service is wonderful-friendly and polite-and the atmosphere is just wonderful. I am taking all my friends there now! Try the 'Duke's Goodnight' cocktail-it's incredible.
Best Burger I ever had. I used to live in the city right by fetch... and I have to say I loved it as my neighborhood bar and it had one of the best burgers ever, highly recommended
yummy. Go for the grilled calamari, stay for the service. Seriously. Both are above par. Of course, the fact that the wait staff is both attractive and amiable is also a plus.
