Nothing but the best

if you're looking for a place to get glasses with service, maximeyes optical is the wayy to go. i received incredible service from calvin jim and luiz. they were awesome.

jim picked out an awesome pair of glasses for me that he thought that could fit my facial features.

luiz is the one helping me make my glasses. i'm SURE they'll come out incredible.

Best Optical Experience

My family have been to numerious optical stores but this store is by far the best. I was personally greeted by both the optician Calvin and Dr. Elena Rosen. One is immediately led to feel that they are being serviced by people who sincerely care. The exam was complete and efficient. Afterwards you are hand-held through the selection process. My search was quickly narrowed down to two pairs of glasses. In short I was confident about my decision and actually enjoyed my time with Calvin and Elena. It truly was like shopping with friends. The store is convenient and the decor sublime. I am sorry I did not come here sooner. The selection was tremendous, the quality top notch and the prices no more expensive than going to a mass chain where the service does not compare. This is like shopping at a boutique instead of a mass retailer but at the same prices.

great eyeglass store

i made an appointment to have my eyes examined with Dr. Rosen at Maximeyes Optical. When i first walked into the store, i was greeted by Calvin the optician with a warm smile. I've always been used to going to a Lenscrafters or a Cohen's type of store, but Maximeyes was such a pleasant change. I felt very comfortable just browsing around the store until my exam. The atmosphere and decor of the store is very warm and friendly, not like a doctors office or a typical generic looking eyeglass store.

Dr. Rosen gave me a very thorough exam and it was pretty quick as well. I could definitely tell that she knew what she was doing and that really put me at ease. I have a pretty high prescription and have been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade, so I've had my fair share of exams. This one ranks up as one of the best I've experienced.

After checking my eyes for contacts and glasses (killing two birds with one stone), we proceeded to look for some frames. I've never been good at picking out glasses, but with the help of Calvin and Dr. Rosen, I actually found a good 5-6 frames that I really liked. Too bad i haven't won the lotto yet, otherwise, i would have taken them all. After narrowing some down, I finally chose a Bevel frame. It's probably the coolest frames I've ever owned. It's super lightweight and has a nice semi funky style to it. Calvin and Dr. Rosen were great at not pressuring me into making a rash decision, but offering me some advice when I needed it. They even suggested that i take my time. I thought it was so great that i didn't feel any pressure during the whole time.

Now comes the tough part, my lenses. I'm always scared of the coke bottle look since my prescription is so high. I spoke to Calvin about my concerns and he totally put me at ease about my high prescription. He assured me that i have nothing to worry about and went over all the differ net lens types and thinning lenses there were. He even told me that he's the one that will be making my glasses and that if i have any concerns about anything, to speak directly to him about it. I found that to be such a bonus that he will be personally making my glasses for me and that he knows the face and the name the glasses will be going on. Needless to say, my glasses came out perfect. He did some adjustments on the glasses so that it would fit more custom for my face.

I've already gotten a bunch of compliments on my glasses from my coworkers and my friends. I can't stop telling people about Maximeyes Optical. I'm never going anywhere else for my eyes

Most Excellent Eyewear Shop in NYC!

I love this eyeglass store!! I went here on the recommendation of a friend with fabulous chic glasses. As soon as I entered this store, it had a really great vibe, more like a Chelsea gallery than a vision shop, complete with art on the walls. The staff was enthusiastic about their products and so helpful. With their guidance, I was able to narrow my decision down to three (THREE!!) frames. For my tiny face, I usually dread looking for glasses, because everything looks too big. I chose this great frame by Salt, a brand I have not seen anywhere else. They had all styles, from the current heavy plastic retro trend to streamlined stainless steels and titaniums and lots of color. I tried them all! I had an eye exam which was so easy and comfortable and thorough. I am going back to pick out my new sunglasses here soon. Dont even bother going anywhere else! Five stars plus!

The Best Eye Glass Store in NYC

There is nothing about this store I would change. The service is impeccable from both the super friendly and knowledgeable doctor Elena and the optician Calvin, the selection is incredibly tasteful and vast, (yet somehow it takes no time to make the right choice). All other stores should take note and do the same in every way. You will get the perfect eye exam that misses nothing, followed by an overwhelming increase in complements on your new glasses. Don't bother with other stores - just come here and enjoy the absolutely delightful transaction and your improved eyes. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
