“It's expenseive for bad service.”
“Interestingly, they didn't tell me that before I sat down and got started nor did they knock the ridiculous price down.”
Editorial Review. The 89th Street location of this chain of nail salons is spacious and tastefully decorated, and offers a variety of specialty manicures and pedicures, waxing and massage.
Avoid.
I would never go here again. After asking for a basic pedicure, I was charged $40 for the special pedicure. As far as I could tell, the only difference was some product she scrubbed on my legs. The water in the basin was ice cold, and I was told the salon had no hot water that day. Interestingly, they didn't tell me that before I sat down and got started nor did they knock the ridiculous price down. For a few days after the pedicure, my foot was very sore because the technician had trimmed the nail down too far on one side.
Definitely stay away.
It's not that great. I went to this Pinky, because it is near my house and my usual place was closed. What a mistake. It's expenseive for bad service. I'm never going back there.
bad place.
This is this worst salon I have been to in my 10 plus years of being in NY. It is overpriced and the manicure/pedicure was terrible. When I left, my fingernails were completely frayed and my toes had paint all over them. In the middle of my pedicure the lady asked me if I minded waiting 1/2 hour while she went to wax someone.
Stay away from this salon.
