Editorial Review for Bloomie Nails – by Jacqui Stafford
The Scene
OK, so on a recent visit we spotted Britney Spears--and Ricky Lake frequents one of the Bloomie sister locations--but normally, this isn't a place to stargaze. Clients come for one reason alone--excellent, super-speedy manicures and pedicures, in just about every color imaginable, that seem to last for an eternity.
The Services
The nail technicians at Bloomie Nails are perfectionists. Even in a rush-hour salon teeming with clients, your technician will insist on re-doing your freshly-polished manicure if there's even the merest hint of a smudge. Other services include traditional paraffin manicures, spa pedicures (in comfy massaging chairs), French tips, nail extensions and fiberglass tips. Skincare offerings include European facials, eye contour treatments, and seaweed facials; relaxing foot and chair massages are also available.

Do not go to blooming Nail March 07, 2007 This morning I woke up around 7::30am... My intuition told me I better check my nail again to see do I need go to another nail salon to do the polish or not? Yet, I just did my manicure last night in the Blooming Nail at Lexington Ave! It was not a pleasant to have my nail done there!! Anyhow, when I look up my nails, I always fainted and scream!!! No one can believe I just did my manicure yesterday 6:30pm?! My nail is getting worst than yesterday after I left the Blooming Nail! The Lady who did my nails and the manager I was asked to fix my nail after I ruined it—are not friendly at all! Don’t they know? It is the customer service chain store? Smile on the face to the customers it should be important right? And the care the customer relations is not part of their job? Neglect, ignore, avoid and truly unfriendly are what I feel in the blooming nail..! I am so regret; I should not waste my time to give the blooming nail try... This tried again still the same the few years ago I was in the blooming Nail in the 7th Ave! I am very pisxxx off, and so mad about my self not...

I went into Bloomie Nails on 23rd street today for a few services. After my manicure I had asked for a 10 minute chair massage. Before the massage, I paid by credit card and then found that I only had a $5 bill in my wallet for tip. I gave her that and was going to use the ATM that was in the salon right after my massage to get money and give her another $5. When I went to the massage chair, my woman showed the other women my bill and the tip. She then proceeded to give me an extremely painful and rough massage, which she was completely doing on purpose because she thought she was getting stiffed. She jammed her elbow into my back multiple times all while snickering with her co-workers. This massage was so painful that I am sure my back will be bruised tomorrow. I was absolutely planning on adding more $ to the tip once I went to the ATM that was right there in the salon. However, even if I wasn't going to do that, I still paid for the service and did not deserve this treatment. I will never go back to any of the Bloomie Nails in the city and plan to go back and speak with the manager.
Cons: Rude workers
