My Chill Zone in a fast paced = action packed - full on City. From the first day I stepped into John Allan's Men's Club nearly TWENTY years ago I was hooked! A haircut, free beer, a game of pool, cool music, great vibe....did I mention free beer? Well that was Twenty years ago...A lot has changed in my life...For one I am twenty years older and now I REALLY APPRECIATE the great haircut, the cool music, the great vibe...the cool art work from local artist's hanging on the walls. The way the staff makes me feel..so welcome ... so at home. The beer is still free, just not as important to me personally anymore. Every time I get buzzed into the club I am reminded of how blessed I am. The feeling that I am VALUABLE, that I make a difference, that I have a lot to offer...all bolstered when I step into the club! A place for Men to connect to the days of old..the old fashioned barber shop...and to me...a place to reconnect with who I am. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

A one-stop shop for male grooming needs.. The Scene
Male professionals from all industries stop by John Allan's locations to get a haircut with all the trimmings. The ambience is old-fashioned clubhouse, all dark wood and leather: There's a pool table in one corner, shoe shine stands in another, rows of comfy loungers and cigar and massage rooms in back. Drinks are served, and you're free to lounge around after your treatment.

The Services
You don't just get a haircut here: The reasonably priced "Full Service" package also includes a scalp massage, hot towel face wash, manicure and shoe shine. Beard trims and facial or body massages of various lengths are also available. As you relax in your chair while one staff member cuts you hair and another massages and manicures your hands, you'll feel like quite the king.

Great gift for a significant other. Hi. My friend and I bought this for our husbands as Christmas gifts. My friend's husband is now a full member and they pretty much have guys nights there, so I think it's quite good. Another friend's husband is going in April (guess I should have asked for commission from them!) Guys - you will enjoy it.

Cool... How much do I tip?. First of all, this place is a lot of fun. Where else can you get a free beer and play pool while waiting for a haircut? However, I'm a little confused about the tip. I'm a year-long member, and I was wondering if I should tip on the regular amount or what? Also, the full-service amount is more than the haircut by itself, s I never know how much to tip each person. I would hate to think that I'm over-tipping the stylist, but undertipping the shoe-shine guy or hair-washing girl. If there's someone who knows a lot about complicated tipping etiquette, drop me a line.

Relaxing!!!. I have been a member of John Allan's for over 10 years, and all I can say is, if you haven't at least tried it your missing the most amazing experience.

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel extremely comfortable & relaxed.

New York Magazine rates it Best of the Best.

John Allan's...Class is back !. I recently had a full service treatment at John Allan's, and after spending an hour or so there, I decided to join for a year! The staff is visually appealing and efficient, and the place is relaxing without being too fluffy...Only drawback, they need to give straight edge shaves also....

FLY ME TO THE MOON!!!. Hands down the best haircut and the most wonderful setting for a man to get a haircut and a shine. The moment you walk in your Jacket and Bag and quietly placed in the coat check. Feel like a drink? How about a beer? Enjoy a cold one as you sit in an amazing leather arm chair while a true expert makes you look like a million. All this and the price is right!
