My boyfriend and I were so looking forward to a hot bowl of noodley goodness, and walked many blocks in the frigid cold with the promise ON THE RESTAURANT'S WEBSITE that the place was open until 12am. We arrived at 1024pm, and were told that they take the last order at 10pm. There were Village Voice flyers on a table in the entry way advertising that they were open until midnight. When this was pointed out to the "hostess," and there was not even the slightest glimmer of recognition or apology. It was incredibly disappointing. I understand if we arrived at 1145pm or even 1130, but to take the last order 2 hours before the alleged closing time in a restaurant where the whole deal is they give you the ingredients and you make it yourself, is INSANE. There are too many places to eat in this city to put up with people who decide arbitrarily not to serve you.

This place is a little off the beaten path, but it is good. The food is fresh and servings are decent sized. The place is spacious and there is lots of leg room under the tables. The staff was friendly and attentive. Don't know if they have a liquor license, we weren't drinking that night. The prices are reasonable. Our complaints are that there is only one bathroom and the sauces are not labeled.

I've only been here once, but it was a fun-filled night with friends. Something surreal about the neon lights and the videos playing, but it's all good. The food is the fun part. Each person gets their own shabu-shabu-pot (wow citysearch, censorship, much?) and they bring out the uncooked food. You cook it yourself, this is the point. I thought they had pretty good variety for drinks and food. Fun times, I would go there again.
