In Short – With high ceilings, a handful of semi-private booths and 13 beers on tap--including Guinness, Pilsner Urquell, Stella Artois and Heineken--McFadden's is an east side Irish pub with a touch of class. Professionals in their late 20s and early 30s sit at the polished dark wood bar into the wee hours, sipping McFadden's classic martinis and munching on beer battered onion rings from the full menu. All eyes are on the many sports-broadcasting TV sets.

- Hungry? Try the white chocolate mousse cake: three layers of mousse cake with white chocolate, mocha and dark chocolate over a coookie crust. You'll have to be wheeled out.

fun times

first off...this place is not your typical wall street bar. you will not normally find guys in their versace suits socializing at the bar. This is a place were the bar tenders dance on the bar and serve cheap beer. I have never had the food, but I am sure its not much more than bar food. I always seem to enjoy myself here. Its always packed and not filled with stuffy people. You go to have a good time and maybe dance in the back room.
Too many good memories not to go again :D

SO ive read some of the reviews already written and i think some people have been too snobby, Mc faddens is not for snobby nor picky people i think, i went on a ten day vacation in ny Manhattan, we stayed at the hilton 42nd on 2nd ave, and when we were tired from all the touristic things we've did during the day and where too tired to search for a place to have a drink, all we had to do was cross the street and there we were at Mc faddens.
First i got a little attitude from the bouncer coz i had my Lebanese id with me instead of my passport and wouldnt let me in so i had to go get my passport but i do understand he's doing his job, and turned out really nice.
The music i really enjoyed, if u come a bit early or during the week its a nice place to chill and have ur drink or watch the game i guess, but on saturdays wow it gets packed crazy packed esp on a friday ( or atleast the firday we were there) girls dancing on the bars people drinking and having fun it was nice but i bailed coz i got there late and there was no place to stand.
The beers i loved comparing to the beers we have in lebanon yea, other than that i didnt try.
The location is easy to reach yes it isnt too far from times square and for the snobbish people who had trouble at this bar i should say from their attitude they will have problems at most of the places they will visit. besides there are some cool bars close u can hop to when u want a change.
cheers and ill deff visit next time im there too many good memories :D

So i recently won a raffle for the 3 hour happy hour tab. Excited to go because my girlfriend won about 2 months ago and we had a great time I invited very important people to come.
So..it was extremely crowded first off. Secondly, I was told I and my friends would drink top shelf liquor, draft beers, and house liquor. Haa, I was told by one of the bimbo bartenders that Blue Moon was not apart of the deal yet it was on DRAFT! so I had no other choice but to get BUD. The bartenders can be clueless especially the females.
Now for the "top shelf" liquor hahaha dream on it. You have to pay at least 7-10 bucks on top of the fact that you paid 25 bucks for a wristband (to get a dash of top shelf liqour) that clearly says in an email you get the above deals. I got house liquor which taste like rubbing alcohol at times, depending what bartender did you drink. smh. Then, as my happy hour was ending the so-called prick of a manager stated he seen my sister push a "dude" and the dude went and complained to the manager. Now for the douche who did complain your such a baby, and thats what happens when you push a WOMAN first!
As everyone was escorted out almost by force for no apparent reason because we were not hostile just getting our jackets from coat check. I personally asked for the "manager" and i explained to him in a nice way that my friends were not served as promised on the email. His exact words were (as well as not giving me direct eye contact which that already is unprofessional) tells me "thats hard to believe" I explained to him despite that i did enjoy my night. I also explained to him the situation about my sister and he supposibly stated that he was there. He really wasnt from what I was told by others. As i continued to talk to him he got aggravated and "snapped" his finger and had two bouncers try to escort me out! He handled the whole situation wrong and i refuse to EVER step a foot in there.
For a fun night with the girls!

In the busy world of NYC night life, it's often hard to decide whether you want to go to a good place to just chill and relax or go out for a fun night of dancing with the girls. McFadden's is both of these! Their special events are especially fun.
Great Sunday
by joebiz23 at Citysearch
I get sent to NYC on business every few weeks but this time I arrived on a sunday rather than midweek. My company put me up in the Tudor Hotel on 42nd so I decided to go across the street to Mcfaddens to watch the Yankees. I've gone by there sometimes and thought it was kinda rowdy and not my scene but they must have changed something because I had a great experience. I sat at the bar, ate my grilled cheese for dinner and had to drink away my sorrows at the yankees getting swept by Boston. I was just going to watch the game but I ended up closing the place down, Mary (the bartender) did a fantastic job and I recommend this place to anyone who wants to roll in for some good bar food and a fun place to watch a game. The only drawback was the yankees losing!!
- Pros: good food, laid-back and great service
