The Scene – It's all in the family, and this second-born spot turned out much like its established older brother, Frank. Candlelight flickers across three spacious rooms filled with the flea market charm of framed Italian prints and yellowing photographs. Crowds of locals mull over late-evening dinners--slowed by hip service that's more fun than fine-tuned--and take in the warmth of open kitchens, or cool beneath vine-tangled ceilings in the garden room, where curtain-draped doors unlock in the summertime. – – The Food – Any in-the-know East Villager will tell you it's…

This place is bad

by DeeEm

Our waiter was ok, after burning my arm with their hot place (which scarred) he gave us a free round of drinks. My friend ate a mussel that she thought had some sort of spices on it, turns out it was some sort of discusting stuff that literally tasted like a word i can say on here! And the food-blah.

  • Pros: ambience
  • Cons: food and clumsy waiters!

Decent food, AWFUL SERVICE

by greatnhumble

Went here on a Friday afternoon when there was only one other table and had terrible service - the guy spills beer on the table, he took more than 10 minutes to bring a coke to the table, and what should have been a 45 minute lunch turned into an hour and a half fiasco...and to top it off they included a 20% gratuity! CHUTZPAH! The pizza was fine, but I imagine you can find better within a 4 block radius. The pasta was quite good, but not worth getting robbed by the waitstaff. 20% to take a half an hour to get the beer and then to spill it on us?!?! Come on...

  • Pros: Pasta
  • Cons: Service
