“Good service, decent prices and a very good atmosphere.”
“We prayed that the food would come fast so we could get out of there but, alas, the service was dreadfully slow.”
nothing exciting here. Honestly, Edwards is nothing to write home about. I ordered a mixed green salad with sherry vinaigrette and herbed goat cheese. The dressing was nearly plain vinegar and there wasn?t nearly enough. My girlfriends all ordered sandwiches and seemed pleased. I thought prices were a little high considering.
Convenient. This place is convenient for the neighborhood, but the food is nothing special.I recently visited Edwards and again,I was'nt impressed by the food, but was surprised by the high prices. It's nice looking inside, and the staff is friendly.I should say, a friend that was along for dinner had some sort of turkey burrito and said it was very good.
Artist Night used to be okay.... It is a nice place with a nice ambience, but it has certainly lost it's luster. Be sure to maintain your sanity by not expecting too much out of the artists menu anymore. They raised the price and lowered the quantity. Nuff said...
only consistent thing about edwards is its inconsistency. Sometimes it can be a great burger or sandwich but increasingly the odds are in favor of a mediocre (at best) meal with slow and uninterested service. ie- ordered a grilled cheddar, ham & tomato. the ham inside the sandwich was charred as was the bread. It actually smelled and thus tasted of charcoal. No one bothered to ask how my meal was. I flagged someone down returned it and was brought a completely uncooked sandwich -- that still had charred bits showing that the grill is dirty. Again, no one asked how my food was though i didn't eat it and they actually dropped a check without saying a word. With just a little effort, this could be a great neighborhood joint, but Edward has stopped caring and it shows. It is, however, kid friendly. Bring your kids and get a beer is about he only way I can recommend Edwards any longer.
great service. the staff here is so attentive and attractive. the rigatoni and the sauce that comes with the calamari is awesome! my filet mignon was a bit overcooked (i asked for rare and it was much more on the med rare side) but the waiter noticed and offered me a new one but i was so hungry that i just ate it and they bougth me my drink! this is a staple place and i love it!
Best burgers!.
Great burgers, nice bistro atmosphere and great prices. I have tried other dishes there and they were nothing to write home about...but the burgers are the best I`ve had in the world!!
I love sitting at the bar!
The service was very good and fast. BUT, I`ve never been when it was really busy...so I can`t tell you what It`s like on Saturday at 8:30pm.
Have fun!
Are you all crazy or just drunk??.
I live two blocks away and have been to Edwards exactly 2 times in 5 years. The wait staff ARE NOT nice. Where the heck are you people sitting???
Both times I went with men and the bitchy "waiting to be discovered" waitresses and maybe gay male waiters didn't give me the time of day.
The food was good, but trust me, unless you want attitude, I would walk across the street to Odeons.
Great neighborhood place. Edward's menu is definitely better than their neighbor's - their fries are very very good. Burger with blue cheese is excellent. Hot chocolate is disgusting. Desserts are quite good. Had brunch there a few times and the huevos was a little runny but edible. The owner person is very nice and the wait staff are also really nice people. Overall, highly recommended - very cool and casual hang-out. Menu could use an update. More than anything, I like the fact that I don't have to have to glam up and have my Jennifer Lopez hair on when I go here - just cool, and relaxed yet hip - really GREAT for us chill downtowners! PS - saw David Schwimmer from "Friends" there one Sunday morning.
Chill Place. Awesome variety of brunch entrees. Not a high maintenance place, come here to relax and catch up with friends. Never had a problem getting seated. The food is pretty good and the prices are very very reasonable.
Still one of the best. Next to Walker's, the nicest staff and atmosphere in Tribeca. It's just a lovely place, don't go if you are some bratty type on a high-anxiety date. Go to relax, sit around for hours and read a book.
