“can't say that this is the best place to go for Thai food, but I can say that the garlic calamari wasn't bad at all and the place itself was quite cozy and PINK.”
“. . food, desserts, and drinks were delicious!”
“Peep is fun and chic - the drinks have a one-word name and both sound and taste good.”
“Everyone I have ever taken there said the food was great!”
“really enjoy this restuarant they have an excellent veggie menu unfourtantly,I got a little hammered when I went but I do remember it was awesome definetlty coming back ( sober this time thou) ha ha!”
“Peep is a great place for lunch in the SoHo area.”
“Despite the good food, good atmosphere, and cheap price, I will not return to the restaurant with that kind of service.”
“good food, good gimmick, awful service”
“Peep is a great restaurant to know - great food, never had a problem getting a table, trendy, but not painfully so and tremendous value.”
“the best thai i've had for a long time”

I didn't eat but I definitely enjoy a happy hour cocktail and their funky voyuristic bathroom. The service was friendly and the cocktail was delicious.
There is always a surprise!. I love going back! There is always a surprise in the menu... Last winter they featured a SOUP MENU , yesterday i went and there was a SALAD MENU... it's the place that you cant ever get tired of their food... They always bring great additions! The chef rocks!
Great Thai Place in Soho. This is great place to get thai food. The prices are affordable and the service is quick. Love it!
Fantastic food.
I greatly enjoyed my experience at Peep, The food was fantastic, the service was very good, and the atmosphere was cool. I started my evening with the best mojito in NYC (and only $6 during happy hour)... I also had the cherry marguarita (not so great). Next, I had the vegetable dumplings (only so so) and chicken satee (fair) but when the main entree came Dear Lord... I had the lemongrass rib eye (my mouth just watered thinking about it) one friend had the pinapple aged pork chop (mind blowingly great) and the other had a shrimp dish of which I did not try. We shared an order of Pad Thai which was terrific. We ended our meal with three desserts the chocolate mousse, coconut icecream and vanilla creme brulee. Each were more delicious than the next.
The one thing about peep I did NOT like was the bathroom with the one way mirrored walls. It's just WRONG watching someone eat while you're doing your "business" I'm glad I went to the bathroom after dinner was over.
NEVER AGAIN.
OK, I have been to Peep several times and have always enjoyed the food and drink...
Last night I went there with a friend who endured a long (crazy long) travel day. We arrived on a Thursday night at 10:15 and were quickly told the kitchen is closing soon and we had about an hour.. No problem, Thai is quick.
As soon as we sat down we were asked several times if we knew what we wanted.. We kept asking for a minute as we didnt even get to open the menu. We order drinks. Julies drink seemed perfect (looked fruity), my drink came wrong... No damage so we moved on..
We order. Appetizer comes in like four minutes.. Uhg.. We eat. Entree comes literally 3 minutes once we finish appetizer. Total time in place was like 25 mins at this point.
So.... We start eating and we are told the bartender wants to go home... OK, I am seeing this movie and already know the ending. We order another round. For the SECOND time I tell them "No Lime". Julie's drink came correct but she even told me (almost bet me) that they would mess it up.. Well... THERE WAS A DAMN LIME.. Dude, I hate lime. No, I detest lime. As soon as the drink was on the table I removed the lime from the tainted drink and plunked it in the water glass. I wish the splash landed on the waiter.....
OK so we are finishing our drink and than the waiter tells us we have to leave as they want to close.... I was like what???? We were 86thd. Anyhow I couldn't believe it. I mean we were like rushed in and out...
Sadly the food was good but I cant get past the crappy service.... If I were with one of my usual suspects I wouldn't have left but I was cool about it. Sadly I gave a 20% tip (looked at receipt this am). Why??
Anyway, good food and sh&#ty service results in the famous.... "Lifetime Ban"
Peep good for a quick bite. loved the food - was really cheep and has a lunch special menu that rocks... eat it!!!
Face towel noodle = best thing ever..
Peep has one of the best lunch specials I've found in the city. For $7 you can get an appetizer of dumplings, or salad, or one of their other many yummy bites, and then an entree of curry or noodles with your choice of protein. You may laugh at the name, but try the face towel noodle. It is addictive. It is delicious. I miss it enormously now that I work in midtown! Seriously, I don't know how they make the face towel noodle sauce but I have to eat it with chopsticks just to make it last longer. The face towel noodle is also available for dinner, when it is served with shellfish. They are very flexible to dietary needs though -- just tell them if you only want chicken, or tofu, or don't want egg.
Peep also has good if slightly expensive cocktails -- like a strawberry mojito-type drink.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere!. Went last night for dinner and I love this place! The food was delcicious and the atmosphere is so fun! And the prices are very reasonable. But the bathrooms take the cake! I thought the service was great as well. I will definitely be back.
definitely not recommended. I thought the food was about as good as the any thai take out in the city. The pink theme does not equal chic, sorry. It looks just plain tacky to me. Finally, the tables are way too crowded. (a woman almost sat on my dinner as she was leaving) and the staff was expedient only when collecting our check and kicking us out.
GOOD Food, LOUSY Service!!!. I actually had the pleasure of dining at Peep. It's an interesting atmosphere to say the least. Being a fellow Thai-American myself, I have to say the food is not exactly "Thai" since it is catered more towards Americans. Although, they still maintain some of the "Flavor Authenticity". Nice place to visit for dinner but lunch... FUHHGETABBOUTIT!!!! It's a maddhouse. Can't reccommend delivery either, unless you order ahead 2 hours, you just might get it by lunch time.
Good spot for lunch, so-so for dinner.
Peep is a great place for lunch in the SoHo area. You get a lot for less than $10, especially in a group. And since it's one of the hottest spots in SoHo it also means it usually crowded. It's very hard to get a lunch reservation for a large party after 1pm and expect to be rushed out of the restaurant once the crowds get busy in the evenings. Service can be good, but for the most part I'd strongly suggest going for their lunch specials.
The food is very good, just enough to fill you up if you get an appetizer as well. The decor is very trendy and most people don't leave without using the bathroom at least once. If you have a phobia about possibly being watched than I wouldn't suggest going here.
