Experienced massage for expectant mothers--even after they've delivered..
In Short
Anne Heckheimer is the one-woman show behind this massage practice that has focused on moms-to-be since 2001. Her unassuming studio in a building full of doctor's offices is no-frills and to-the-point, but once the lights go out, clients can relax--belly-first or side-lying--on the adjustable bodyCushion system. Heckheimer is a licensed massage therapist who is certified in prenatal massage, and her skill in Swedish and deep tissue massage shows in her attentive massages that focus on the week-to-week changes of expectant mothers.
Hits: The deeply relaxing head massage is mind-altering, and her massage touch is soothing to the point that you may not be sure if you're awake or not.
Misses: Heckheimer has clients rest their hands on a stool in front of them, which is not as relaxing as the traditional arms by one's side approach.
