QUEENS HOSPITAL
My dream wedding- was exactly that- amazing!!!!!!.
Jhon and I just got married , in Renaissance. We vere worried, of course. We worried about everything, from are we going to get all that says in a contract, to , how is oue wedding cake going to taste.
I have to tell you, it was magical. It was so great, that I actualy called Manhattan bride and suggested that this magazine write an article about this cute, and beautiful place. The food was amazing, Robin did such a great job. Not only that food tasted amazing, the presentation was immaculate.
The service was also great. Guys did everything right. Even, when the guests got up to dance, they would instantly take the napkin and nicely roll it and put it back on the table.
The menagar made the whole proces easy, non of my demand were too great. All of my ideas, my changing of colors, seating chars, were taken with smile and wormth. I never felt as I was a bridezilla, even though I now know, I was.
So thank you, Renaissance, for makin my dream day amazing. John and I are truly happy with everything you did.
Absolutely Horrible.
Recently attended a wedding here and was shocked how bad the food and service was. An entire table, the setting half of bridal party, was missing and after waiting for over an hour a single wobbly, broken table was offered. They started the open bar late and closed it early, neglected to place many table settings, and forgot to place basics like water or the champagne for the toast on many tables. The pacing of the dinner service was just awfulwe didnt receive our entree (cold and bland to boot) till about 15 minutes to closing and waited over an hour between the (limp) salad and (cold) pasta course. And dont get me started on the absence of coffee or dessert. The staff was either painfully inexperienced or mostly apathetic to our complaints.
The manager was completely indignant when told of these mistakes and refused to take any responsibility. Most good catering/restaurant establishments will generously accommodate you with an extended event time, free appetizers, etc. if they acknowledge they made a mistakebut not Renaissance. They promptly turned on the lights on the dot of event's end and insisted everyone leave without offering any kind of compensation.
Its a shame because at first glace the hall itself is attractive and it has an interesting layout. Dont let that pretty face fool youits just a thin veil for ugly, nasty service. It also lacks any kind of bridal suite and the bathrooms are a bit dark and dingy. Save you money and go elsewhere for your special occasion.
