Editorial Review for Agent Provocateur – by Melissa Kirsch
The Scene
Every day is Valentine's Day in this pink and black boutique-boudoir, where salesgirls shuffle around in stiletto feather scuffs, fishnet stockings and tight button-down housecoats. The vibe is lush and sexy, conspiratorially tarty and more than a little self-consciously kitsch: Beneath crystal chandeliers, each fitting room is provided with a satin robe so the bashful can keep shopping without getting dressed between get-ups.
The Goods
All the shop's delicate, sexy corsets, negligees, bras, garters and the like are designed by Joe Corré, son of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, and his wife, Serena Rees. Prices are cheaper than most luxury brands, so even the thriftiest sex kitten can get a piece of the action. Bows, rosettes, lace and satin abound, combining the glamour of the princess nightie with the naughtiness of the hook-and-eye bustier--and in sizes from 32A to 36F, you'll have no trouble finding the perfect fit.

Really cute lingerie. High quality products, but low quality service. The sales ladies are really "cool". When I asked for help, the sales lady gave me a facial expression like "I don't want to help you but I have to". I asked her to check the bra fit, she looked at me for one second, saying "too big", and never came back to me. I was the only customer she had at that time. I came to the store on a Monday noon the other time. I was the only customer there. When I asked for a demi bra, the sales lady brought me a full cup bra of the same collection. I told her I'd like to try the demi bra, she said they were sold out and were not there anymore. I pointed at the the demi bra and told her"it 's there." Ten minutes later, I asked her to bring the full cup bra she just took away from the fitting room a few minutes ago, she said the full cup bra was sold out and they did not have it any more. I told her it's impossible because it's the one she just took away from me a few minutes ago. However, the lingerie is really cute and of high quality.
Pros: cute & high quality lingerie
Cons: unhelpful customer service

I go to AP only twice or three times a year due to their expensive lingerie but when I do go there I find the most delicate, unique, and beautiful bras and underwear. It is worth it to invest in a couple of good lingerie pieces because they really can make a difference in how you feel. Last time I was there I saw Lindsay Lohan being helped. The staff is not pushy whatsoever, such a relief from such stores as Victorias Secret. But they will ask if you need anything and then basically leave you alone.
Pros: cut and design of bras and underwear is exceptional
Cons: expensive
