In Short – This customized personal training club operates under the guiding philosophy that "You don't have to be a professional athelete to train like one." The two co-owning celebrity trainers have handpicked every machine and take pride in staying on top of the latest developments in equipment. Workouts often incorporate sandbags, weighted sleds and kettlebells, providing a total-body workout aimed at embracing each client's individual body shape.

Before I begin...celebrities DO work out there..but don't experct to be trated like one unless you are one!
Joe is the one of the owners who generally trains the celebrities..if you are not a $$ banker, hedge fund owner, or celebrity..your not getting him. You will be assigned a trainer who is no different from NYSC, Equinox, or Ballies with a price tag that doubles these clubs.
You can have a non peak trainer who uses the facility and generally are better than the peak trainers. The peak trainers need the clients to be assigned to them so they have work....the nonpeak trainers..have their own!
Peak has a policy requireing 24hr notice if you cancel on your trainer. Unfortunitly, it doesnt work the other way as my trainer has cancelled many times on me for crazy reasons.
I will be back once my training sessions that I prepaid for are done and will update with some specific stories. go to your own gym and save your money--unless you get a nonpeak trainer!

A Great Gym
by red4sonja at Citysearch
I have trained at Peak for more than 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. The trainers are very qualified and user friendly and regularly update your programs as you advance. The equipment is exceptional. The staff is friendly and helpful. You don't have to be a jock (although plenty of serious athletes train here) but you don't come here to strut around flashing your booty. Everything is very clean -- and I am fussy -- but don't expect marble counters, hair dryers and lotions and potions. This is a serious gym.

State of the art equipment, friendly staff, comfortable environment. I have trained at Peak Performance for 6 months and have never seen such amazing results! I highly recommend this gym to anyone who is serious about getting in shape.

This gym has lots of potential but it is lacking in personality, character and service. The equipment is good, but the service is poor at best. The bathrooms are too cold. The water pressure is horrible and there is always a shortage of hot water. The staff is unhappy with management and I heard it time and time again from my complaining trainers. I left because of the negative energy that flows down from the top.
- Pros: none
