“Went to the comedy club act Friday night - cozy little space, hard benches if you sit along the wall, feels warm enough to make you sleepy if the comedian's not hitting the mark.”
“If you want to sit back, drink and hear fabulous music this can be the place.”
“If you like music and people this is the place!”
“great entertainment and value”
delicious pizza. So, we walked in to this place on Thursday night, thinking we were staying for one drink. After a few drinks, and jokes with the looker bartender, we looked at our watches and realized we'd been there for way too long. She told us to get a pizza, and we did (she didn't lie, it was good). It would have been a better place if there were a few more ladies and draft beer specials.
Comedy by David The Voice Stein and Jimmy Hammer were Great. THis underground club was amazing. Love the comedians especially David The Voice and Jimmy Hammer. They were fantastic!
Great Live Music Spot. This place rocks! great live music. I've also caught a couple comedy shows here. great entertainment and value
Great Bar!. I come here for happy hour all the time. Great place to hang out. They also have live music and comedy shows at night. I bring all my friends from out of town here. check it out
Editorial Review. This lounge way uptown features three distinct rooms and hosts comics, live music and more, as well as featuring a pool table and a third floor packed with plush furniture.
Coolest, hippest vibe on the west side. Once inside you'll think you're in soho or east village.
DJs on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. Guy named Joe looks like the plumber, but goes back as a DJ to the 70s and HAS THE TOUCH. A giant screen shows sports in front bar and the back lounge--grotto-esque--shows and plays vintage videos on another giant screen (see Mick showing "Sympathy for The Devil" as John Lennon dances like a Beserker, or Bowie as alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust). Plus, sporting a great pool table makes this an absolute F-I-N-D.
With all the different underground spaces, you can be mobile and meet some interesting people. My date loved it, too. Had the best time. We danced our heads off and met cool folk. One of them plays in a bank there weekdays with no cover, which we plan to check out. Plus, the foods even great.
Good Bands Only. The place is intimate, the drinks are good and the bands can be true artists. Great musicians and serious singers are invited to play there. If you want to sit back, drink and hear fabulous music this can be the place. Some dumps in town invite real amateurs to play and you leave with a headache. If you like music and people this is the place!
Pretty funny.
Went to the comedy club act Friday night - cozy little space, hard benches if you sit along the wall, feels warm enough to make you sleepy if the comedian's not hitting the mark. But we had a fun time, and the $8 cover wasn't hard to take.
Everyone is close to the stage because it's so small, which can be good or bad. You would never feel as though you're in Siberia.
