A Delightful Find!. I've gotten japanese straightening done 3 times before and was looking for a new place in the city about a month ago. I went and met with 3-4 technicians at different salons and finally decided to go ahead with Tim at Roy Michaals Salon. I was very happy and satisfied with the results. This was the best one of the 4 times I've gotten this process done. I am extremely picky and particular about what I want and Tim was not only knowledgeable and careful, but also made sure he gave me exactly what I wanted.

Very talented, friendly staff. Dawn is a terrific colorist who has always done the best job on my hair. This is the friendlest salon in town, and the clientele is understandably very loyal. There is no "attitude" and everyone's hair looks great. Fair prices, too.

Outstanding cut and color in a wonderful atmosphere. Everytime I walk in, I feel like Iam back with friends. I've come to expect that I will look years youngeer when I leave, but I always marvel at how valued I feel by coming in; the specail home-made treats; and the lovely garden is a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy. Roy and Bill have created a wonderful 'family' atmosphere in the heart of the City .

The best hair salon!. This is a great salon and I have been following Roy and Dawn as they moved from other locations (two others actually) to the current location. I always feel as though they strive to make my hair look its best . . the staff is wonderful and professional. On the day of my son's bar mitzvah, they were able to accomodate not only me for a pre-service blow out but also to take of my two young daughters. We all looked great. Oh, with regard to the creepy elevator ...they also help me with that and let me go up the back stairs! Since they are only on the second floor, it is no big deal and they don't make me feel crazy about it! A great salon!

Verrrrrrrrrry Profressional and what a Great staff!!!!!!!. I recently went too roy michaels salon with over processed blonde hair and i was looking for a more natural look. A colorist named Maria greeted me with such comfort that i felt like i knew her for years. I heard from a friend that Maria had a great technique of high and low lighting. So as soon as i sat in the chair i knew that it was going too come out amazing... When it was all done the only thing that i could say was WOW! Maria's technique made my hair look so much healthier and look so natural. The best part of it, is when I came home too my husband he even seen the difference! Thank you so much, Great JOB!!!!!!

Great cut & color!. I had a great experience at the Roy Michaels Salon! Loved the people as well as the inviting environment and outdoor patio!

Derek did my color...what a FABULOUS job! I left the salon loving my hair and never had so many compliments!

Kazu cut my hair and again I loved it! I usually am not so happy after a haircut and need about a good month for me to get used to it but not with this cut! He styled it beautifully and the cut lasted for quite some time as any good cut should!

I would definitely recommend this salon for the friendly staff, service and most importantly satisfaction!

Great highlights, great hair cut. I have been going to Roy Michaels salon for about 2 years now. I've been to soooo many salons in Manhattan and Queens after my regular guy left my Astoria salon. I've had my hair fried, ruined and overpaid for mediocre highlights elsewhere (once $580 without tip!) until I came to Roy Michaels. Dawn does my amazing highlights and keeps me looking like a natural blonde and Kazu gives me such magnificent cuts I can go without using a blowdrier. All this and they are no where near as expensive as other places I've been. I will continue to be a loyal customer :)

Kazu is a fabulous stylist and person. Kazu is to date the only person I go back to time and time again for haircutting and styling, he is fabulous, each time. The rest of the staff is friendly, unpretentious, and professional. Nice people.

I love this place!. I was so fortunate to find such an amazing salon a few blocks away from my office. I always look forward to my haircuts with Roy and I have been faithfully going to him for almost 5 years now. I don't think I could ever go anywhere else. Bill is always so accommodating to get me in for an early morning appointment. The entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and make you look wonderful. Just as I have been faithful to this salon, it seems that the staff are equally faithful to Roy; time after time I see the same stylists, colorists ... even the sweet women who wash my hair... there appears to be very little turn over and that speaks volumes to me. Roy Michaels Salon is an absolute gem.
