“Amazing crepes and service”
“the crepes are delicious, atmoshere is chill - worth taking a 2 hour lunch as I will go out of my way to get down there.”
I'm almost afraid to tell you how good this is...because I might not get a table the next time I go. My husband and I randomly stumbled on this place after our nearby destination was having a private party. What great luck! CT is charming and cozy, with a lrelaxed staff and delicious menu. The wine list and dinner selection is small, but there are no wrong choices. After a wonderful meal, we asked if their 30 person restaurant could host a dinner party for 16 that we were planning for the following weekend. And they did. No problem. We had half of the restaurant to ourselves, and all of our friends were amazed at our hidden gem. Not only did we have a great group dinner, but everyone vowed to return. And how could they not...when the bill came each person in the party owed less than $40 each. Atmosphere, good food, and affordable? Am I dreaming?
Amazing crepes and service. Simply the best creperie in NYC. The place is small and romantic, its in the heart of St. Marks...so many things going on outside to people watch. The crepes are soo good, and so is all of the food on the menu. They have all different kinds of coffee which all smell delicious. Whether you want dinner, lunch, breakfast... or just desert. This is the place to be!
Delicious and Cheap. This is a great little spot. The menu includes sandwiches, salads and crepes, and everything I've had there has been fresh, tasty, and very satisfying. The are often out of the soup by dinner time though, and the beer selection is spotty. For a casual meal and a delicious dessert, this is your place! YUM. There are two small outdoor tables on the sidewalk, and about 8 tables inside. Very small, but truly cozy and the waitors (owners?) are great.
Still a great meal, still a great value.. Since renovating this intimate and cozy little french cafe, the food has maintained its quality and the atmosphere has improved. A great place to go on a first date if your priorities are good food and atmosphere over impressive wallet bulges, the c rook ed tree (spelled this way to get past the citysearch inappropriate word list) is a staple in east side character. The owners are often around and they are nice guys. The menu of savory crepes satisfies hunger as well as the best of montparnasse, and the side salads are more than generous. To top off the night, get a nutella and banana crepe and a cup of the delicious coffee.
Holy crêpe!. Get the best of Francophilian fare by having dessert at this delectable crêperie. Our group waited patiently for over fifteen minutes in the brisk night air a few months ago for a table to open up, but it was well worth it, even for just a simple crêpe with sugar and lemon or one filled with Nutella and banana. The restaurant also carries savory crêpes as well as light meals, like The Cubano (a hot pressed sandwich made with black forest ham, chicken, and Jarlsberg cheese), Imported Sopressata & Mozzarella Salad, and a variety of soups made daily. Prices range from $4 - $11, with beverages about $2 - $3.
love the hot chocolate! good crepes too. if i remember right this was the little creperie place i ate at while i was walking solo around st marks place one evening a few months back. ambiance--cute, small, dimly lit by candles. food--i had a savory crepe as a light dinner which was quite good. but the most memorable part of the meal was definitely the giant cup of freshly made hot chocolate i had there. simply lovely and rich, the best i've had in a long time. i would go back just for that, and would like to try the sweet crepes sometime too! the service was very friendly too.
