GREAT DELIVERY SERVICE AND AWESOME FOOD!!! – Nick's really pulled through when we were having a party and our usual Italian place had recently closed down! It was a blessing in disguise!!!... We have now found our favorite Local Italian Place!!
We ordered 2 large orders of Fried Calamari, 2 Antipasti Platters and an order of Mozzarella Caprese and Eggplant parm!! All of the dishes were awesome!!!...
I would definitely recommend going to Nicks or having their food at your party... everyone was so pleased and they had great sized portions!....
Overall, it was a great experience and we're definitely going back!!!
YUM! – Went here when I had friends in town. SO good! Try the pizza with olives and fresh ricotta...very good. We all had pizza so I can't speak for anything else on the menu.
HUGE portions, Friendly Staff – Servings at Nick's easily feed 2/3 people. Food is extremely fresh and delicious - homemade taste that goes well with the place as a whole.
one of nyc's best pizza places!! – brick oven pizza is amazing, perhaps best in nyc!! it's so thin it can probably be eaten by one person... definately worth trying! not sure about service and atmosphere since we got the pizza to go!
Upper East Siders get fired up over the brick oven pies from this family-style pizzeria. – In Short
The Upper East Side location of this family-style pizzeria, which started in Forest Hills, exudes cozy charm. Antique iron lanterns, wood floors and an exposed brick ceiling inset transport diners away from the hubbub of Second Avenue. The main draw, however, is the dual gas-fired brick ovens, out of which come thin-crust pizzas topped with traditional toppings--sun-dried tomatoes is about as wild as it gets. Fettuccine with prosciutto typifies the pasta offerings, while homemade cannoli lures diners into over-satiation.
Only recommended for pizza – Pizza is terrific but the pasta and other foods are very mediocre. The veal parm has too much sauce and flavorless veal and dried up baked grated parm cheese on top. Where's the gooey mozzerella?? The spaghetti is over cooked and it a watery sauce and the clams are chewy. But great pizza!!!
Good Food, Spotty Service – The food here is consistently great; also consistent, are waiters that don't really do much. Out of ten times, we probably had one great waiter- and he's never there anymore.
Great Pizza – Some of the best pizza on the UES. Great neighborhood spot with friendly service and good italian food!
Good food! – This is not your typical New York pizza...it's very thin, so you may be able to eat a whole one yourself! They have AMAZING rolls and a great balsamic vinegrette. As for their pasta, the tomato sauce, not the tomato basil; it's got a tang I didn't like. A bit pricey but good stuff! Service can be a bit slow in the restaurant and they do deliver.
