“The bartenders combination of women and men are fun and lively.”
“It was most unfortunate that a place with such incredible ambiance could employ a staff who would exploit its heavily-spending patrons and never buy drinks back, no matter how much money was spent, and a manger who may not understand the meaning of gracio”
“There are a lot of other places with better food, but this place has a neat feel with open beam ceilings and pretty wood furniture making”
“Actually, the reason I chose Failte is the great night I ended up having there in my search for the perfect place for my birthday party.”
“great atmoshpere, Foxy and Stew are the best, and chill people.”

Best Irish pub in Midtown. We are in Ny on holidays from Ireland and were walking past this cool little Irish pub, as we were walking past the front door the friendly Irish bartender was putting a menu board outside and we asked her for directions to the shops, within 10mins we decided to come in for a beer to have a rest and the Irish bartender, (I think she said her name was Pam), had introduced us to the local people in the bar, gave us all the tips we needed for shopping in NY all weekend, fed and watered us and we were back on our merry way shopping, for 2 minutes until we realized we didn't want to go shopping,we wanted to stay at Failte with Pam and the locals drinking a great pint of Guinness,So we went back there for the whole day instead of shopping!! this is what NYC is all about, everybody should go to Failte if they want to experience a true Irish bar with great Irish staff from Roscommon and hav great craic,we are definitely coming back on our next trip!
WONDERFUL Private Party!!.
This place was AMAZING. We had a private party here and I was so impressed with everything.
(1) The space on the 2nd floor is perfect - it has room for a band, couches, even a beer pong table
(2) The staff was just awesome - they were so helpful and accommodating. They made sure everyone had a great time.
(3) DJ - after our band finished the DJ was great and made the rest of the night.
I can't thank them enough for a wonderful party and can't wait to use them again!
My favorite bar in NYC. There is a reason Failte has been voted NY's best Irish pub and I'm a huge fan. The crowd and bartenders are great!!
My favorite bar in NYC. I have been going to Failte since I moved into the area six months ago and it has quickly become my favorite bar in NY. The crowd and bartenders are a lot of fun. The place has a great vibe and the best Guinness around.
Razor sharp piece of glass in my beer. Bartender was unbelievably rude about it.. I almost died drinking here. I ordered a round of drinks here and when I took a sip I felt something in my mouth. When I took it out, it was a thin razor sharp inch and a half shard of glass. If I had swallowed, or gone in my mouth sideways, I would have been in serious trouble. When I took it to the bartender, he asked me where it came from. I said I didnt know, and he pointed to the glass (where it had apparently chipped off) and continued to look at me, like I had something to do with it. I just shrugged, not sure what he wanted from me. I'm the one that almost drank it. At that point I said I didn't think I should have to pay for the round ($20) and he said, "now you want a free round, for what?". I said, I could have died if I drank this shard of glass. He said, "are you kidding me?" I said, no, I'm not kidding, I could have died. He said, "f--- you, you could have died". At that point I asked for my card back, signed it with 0 tip. When I talked to AMEX today to dispute my charge, they said there was a $24 hold on the card. I'm still waiting to see if that is just a hold, or if the guy is actually going to give himself a $4 tip that I did not write in. I don't feel they are entitled to charge me for drinks I could have died from. I certainly don't think they should tell a customer to go f--- themselves. I've filed a complaint with the city about the glass.
Best Irish Pub in NYC. This is buy far the best Irish pub in NY. I can't say enough good things about it. The atmosphere is amazing, and they have the best bartenders.
Always fun. I wouldn't call myself a "regular" however I'm always treated like one at Failte. The drinks are always good and they are great at keeping a consistent "buy-back" ratio. I usually meet friends for happy hour and then end up staying late into the night. They also have a pool table which you can always get a game on. Lately they've been having trivia nights on Thursday's with prizes and a monthly comedy night. It seems that there's always something happening. I heard they might start having live music as well...... Do it! See you at the bar!
Consistently Enjoyable. Failte is great! The service is always fast and friendly. The drafts are poured well and the place always seems full of neighborhood friends. I love going there on my way out for the night, and sometimes on the way home. It's a cool and comfortable place to relax and unwind after work. My friends and I went to trivia one Thursday night and had a great time -- Failte also has the best burger in the neighborhood!
Private Parties are the best at Failte!. I hosted my birthday party at Failte and it was really great. My friends are still talking about how cool it was to have the 2nd floor lounge to ourselves. I got an open bar package that seemed inexpensive compared to how much we all drank! The music was upbeat and had everyone dancing, which may have been fueled by the open bar, but who's asking, right?! Long story into a few words: Failte is my new spot! Actually, the reason I chose Failte is the great night I ended up having there in my search for the perfect place for my birthday party. My friend and I laughed for hours with the bartender and a couple of guys at the bar. Getting up for work that Thursday was painful, but I'd do it again in a second. Failte this weekend anyone?!
SO MUCH FUN, MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE BACK AT CAMP!. If you are looking to plan a reunion then this is the place! Its bartenders counsel you through the many different varieties of Irish whiskey and the cozy feel reminds you of a warm Berkshire night. Many report sharing a moment behind the pool table located towards the back of the bar which is thankfully where the counselors can't see you. This is not exactly the place to go if you are looking to feast your eyes on celebrities, but I could swear that I saw Bob and Barbra the last time I was there! Wild... I know.
