Korean food for the hipster crowd. This is Korean food for hipsters, but it's good all the same -- wholesome ingredients, right-sized portions, light on the banchan (side dishes). All your favorites are here, with the exception of table-grilled beef, and there are even some surprises you won't find at any K-Town joint ... namely jangban guksu, jeolmyeon and -- that rarity of rarity for Korean restaurants -- brown rice. My top pick? The stone-bowl bibimbap, which, superheated as it is, makes arguably the best after-dinner nurungji (scorched-rice snack) in the city.

Great authentic Korean food. This place is a great little authentic Korean restaurant with a small dining room (maybe 10 tables) and great food. They also have a good selection of Korean soju and wines. My favorite things are the Mandu-Gui (fried dumplings) and Jeyok-Bop (hot & spicy marinated sliced pork over rice).

Getting worse. This place is getting so bad it is ricidulous. The kimchi is disgusting. It seems like it is stale. The cold noodle beef soup is the worst. I was going through the other reviews and the one "Great Korean Food" caught my attention. That guy sounds like the owner Jay (maybe thats why his username is thejayspot). It is suprising to me that he is trying to dismiss all other negative reviews. Not only their food is bad, the wine is cheap wine. I been eating there for a couple of years and for some reason all the waitress that I know working there are gone and the service has gone down dramatically. They used to be really really good. I don't know what's up with it now.

Delicious Dishes. I've eated at Dosirak a number of times. Now that I've moved out of Manhattan, I miss their hot bowl bibimbop and kimchee. The service has always been friendly. Once, our table was one of the wobbly ones, our wine bottle toppled to the floor and not only did they refill our glasses, they gave us a complimentary bottle. The food is simple and wholesome, yes they could be a bit more generous on the vegis, but portions are a good size. I've ordered delivery from them for my family when they were visiting town, and they are now huge Korean food fans. I would highly recommend this place for a pre movie dinner or friendly/casual luncheon. It's one of my favorite places.

Great Korean Food. When a neighborhood friend suggested this place, I was a bit tentative after reading the previous negative reviews. I was expecting a dingy, smelly cramped diner with questionable hygiene. Wasn't even close.

Space - This is Manhattan. Like the 1000 other places in the city, it would be hard to call this place spacious, but our party of 6 had no problems. Very unlike jail.

Smell - I believe the smell is commonly called 'food cooking'. It actually make me hungry.

Food Poising - Well, I certainly wouldn't give 3 stars to a place that poisoned me.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This is now my favorite Korean place in the city. Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices. Your typical 'great neighborhood find'. I can vouch for the spicy pork dish, fish pancakes and the soju.

Bad food. Small space. They serve cheap food. The food is so bad. Damn right the first review that he got sick. I'm lucky I didn't. Not only that, the space is too small. Feels like cramped into a jail cell.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! TRUST US. Ordered from Do Sirak and waited over an hour for food that never arrived. When we called they said they couldnt find the delivery man for an hour. They were RUDE and UNACCOMODATING and did not even offer to comp part of the bill. Not to mention, when we went to reorder the meal again, they ran out of one of our meals. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! ITS NOT THAT GOOD!
