“nice place like Romi is sorely needed in this neighborhood - I hope they make it.”

“live right above it, which makes the location great (for me) but with drinks that cost the same as the ones at Marquee, an always- empty locale, unprofessional bartenders and an owner with an ego that matches Dennis Rodman's, save your money and have dr”
one of the best in the neighborhood. although it may be hard for some unfamiliar to the area to find. .. it also makes its patrons feel like they've made some sort of magically secretive discover in this barren neighborhood.
Good Times. I like this place, the food is good and the drinks are heavy, great music and fun staff. Always have a nice time , like the martini's.
Great fun. excellent place , great food and drink. I nwould rec to anyone looking foer a great night out with friends. Good booz and friendly staff
This place sucks!. My friends and I decided to go for a going away party for friend. When we got there the waitress was very nasty. She made the whole environment uncomfortable. The busboy was very helpful in making our drinks. Anyway, the waitress was rude, and obnoxious to my co workers. The place only caters to you on less your putting the bill on one tab. We had to walk up and down the stairs to get our drinks. Don't go there with a group of friends to expect good service. Other than that its a place to go with a date probably so the waitress can just focus on 2 instead of a group..
Lame, Expensive and Dull.
I live right above it, which makes the location great (for me) but with drinks that cost the same as the ones at Marquee, an always- empty locale, unprofessional bartenders and an owner with an ego that matches Dennis Rodman's, save your money and have drinks elsewhere--somewhere cooler.
PS SATURDAY NIGHT is a private transvestite party. Know before you go.
This place is great!!!. This place is exactly what Wall Street needed! Perfect after work spot with great drinks and great music. It is exactly what most people that like to go out are looking for. Great Bar Scene and good apps too! Just the perfect place!!!
Not trendy but considering area. This place is trendy considering the location. Not trendy compared to Tribeca/Soho. yes Suits occupy the bar but not on weekends. Nice bi-level bar/restaurant. Food is nice also. Great for the neighborhood!!!
LAME!.
I don't know who called this place swank - but they were terribly mistaken. If swank is a bunch of obnoxious wall street types hitting on anything with a pulse in a short skirt (even if they have a date) while getting overly inebriated in a totally UNSEXY environment - then yeah, swank.
This place was lame with a capital L-A-M-E. DJs were CLUELESS - as soon as they got people dancing, they switched genres. The few women there were obviously paid to be there and their sole purpose was to get men drinking. Save your money, save your time, avoid this place like the plague.
Absolutely Recommended!!!. Awesome Place!!! I went after work and had such a great time that I had to try it again on a Saturday night and had an even better time. Must check it out!!! Great crowd!
This swank watering hole adds upscale flavor to a nightlife-dead neighborhood.. With its tall, wood-beamed ceilings, red rectangular couches and floor-to-ceiling indigo curtains, Romi dons the look of a lower Fifth Avenue bar but with more square footage and a distinctly less hip crowd. The upstairs balcony area offers a huge, roomy space that's dimly-lit and dotted with tiny votive candles and a multitude of square dark leather ottomans. Routine Top-40 hits blare from the second floor's sound system. An early-20s to late-30s Wall Street crowd seeking after-work booze therapy flocks here during the week. On weekends, the bar attracts local corporate types who live in the bar's increasingly residential neighborhood. Bar patrons can sample the restaurant's tapas menu at night (appetizers average around $10 a pop). There's no specialty drink menu, but bartenders regularly experiment with new cocktails such as the Romi Martini, an extremely sweet, pineapple-infused cosmopolitan.
