Most eye-catching are Philippe Stark's custom shampoo and styling stations, the cylinders of orange fabric that you'd never guess are changing rooms, and one of only three Kerastase treatment centers in the country--a salon-within-the-salon, featuring foggable glass walls and noise-reducing doors. Busy-bee stylists bustle about many chairs in the loft-like cut and color area, while make-up artists work their magic in a secluded corner.

Editor's Tips

On the Menu:: You're covered from the shoulders up--think cuts, color, blowdrying, relaxers, lip and chin waxing, eyebrow shaping, and make-up applications and lessons. Manicures and pedicures are also offered.
When to Go:: Come by during the weekly themed Social Butterfly events, when cocktails, sample sales and beauty-industry guests enhance your service. Monthly workshops are also held to teach you the tricks of the trade.
Brands:: Colorists use L'Oreal exclusively, and Paula Dorf is the cosmetic of choice for make-up applications.
Save Money:: For an additional $35, you can add a Kerastase treatment onto your haircut ($100).

Great hair salon!!!!!!!!

I startedy going to the Butterfly Studio several months ago and my hair has never looked so good...thanks to HARMONIE. I am a weekly client (for blowouts) and every time I walk out of the salon I feel like a hair model. Harmonie is super talented and so versitile when it comes to styling hair. She knows the type of hair style that would fit your face. I am sooooo happy I found her!!!!! In addition, everyone at the salon is friendly and helpful. I recommend Harmonie highly!!!!!

The BestEST.

I'm a beauty & product junky-I try everything. But I've learned the one thing you just don't mess with is ...your hair.

This is the sort of place you want to keep secret -but need to cheer for out loud.

For any brazilian bikini virgins or phobes-you need to see Christina!

And Color!? It's all about MIN KIM.

Seriously.

I have dark asian hair-trust me, having highlights could easily look really wrong. I know-and sadly, I've been there. And then I found Min...life, forever got brighter.

She listens ,assesses and then -- just makes better.

Love her-Love Butterfly!

It's so refreshing to know when you're in good hands-and all you have to do is just show up.

Confident Hair

This place is an absolute dream salon. Fortunately enough, I was given peace of mind by being taken care of by a stylist by the name of Jill. Guys, if you're tired of the clippers and want to get a fresh nourished look, Jill is definitely the person for you. As a man coming from a past of barber shop experiences, Jill definitely did an excellent job transitioning me to an environment of fresh cuts. Right when I sat down, she genuinely broke the ice with her down-to-earth personality and made me feel like I wasn't just another client to get through. In the mix, she taught me a couple of ways to keep my hair healthy and fresh; some of which most guys probably aren't aware of. This girl definitely knows her stuff. Thanks to her professionalism, knowledge, and cool personality, I can honestly say I walked out of there feeling much more confident than before.

Movie Star Hair

I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service, and the quality of the salon itself. If you want movie-star hair go straight to Vanessa and Joanna at Butterfly.Over the last year they have transformed my cut, color, and the overall quality of my hair. I get nothing but compliments on my hair now. Joanna's color is fantastic - she's really a genius at creating a more fabulous version of what nature's given you. And Vanessa's hair cut actually lasts a full 2 months, and she always gives me the most phenomenal blow-outs that lasts for days. That said, it ain't cheap. But you get what you pay for. After years of trying to bargain hunt, I realize now that it just isn't worth it. You're going to spend some coin, but you're going to look and feel like a million bucks. And don't forget to schedule a Kerastasse Treatment - your hair stays shiny for weeks after - worth the $45.
