Great hair salon!!!!!!!!. I startedy going to the Butterfly Studio several months ago and my hair has never looked so good...thanks to HARMONIE. I am a weekly client (for blowouts) and every time I walk out of the salon I feel like a hair model. Harmonie is super talented and so versitile when it comes to styling hair. She knows the type of hair style that would fit your face. I am sooooo happy I found her!!!!! In addition, everyone at the salon is friendly and helpful. I recommend Harmonie highly!!!!!

The BestEST.. I'm a beauty & product junky-I try everything. But I've learned the one thing you just don't mess with is ...your hair.

This is the sort of place you want to keep secret -but need to cheer for out loud.

I have dark asian hair-trust me, having highlights could easily look really wrong. I know-and sadly, I've been there. And then I found Min...life, forever got brighter.

She listens ,assesses and then -- just makes better.

Confident Hair. This place is an absolute dream salon. Fortunately enough, I was given peace of mind by being taken care of by a stylist by the name of Jill. Guys, if you're tired of the clippers and want to get a fresh nourished look, Jill is definitely the person for you. As a man coming from a past of barber shop experiences, Jill definitely did an excellent job transitioning me to an environment of fresh cuts. Right when I sat down, she genuinely broke the ice with her down-to-earth personality and made me feel like I wasn't just another client to get through. In the mix, she taught me a couple of ways to keep my hair healthy and fresh; some of which most guys probably aren't aware of. This girl definitely knows her stuff. Thanks to her professionalism, knowledge, and cool personality, I can honestly say I walked out of there feeling much more confident than before.

Movie Star Hair. I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service, and the quality of the salon itself. If you want movie-star hair go straight to Vanessa and Joanna at Butterfly.Over the last year they have transformed my cut, color, and the overall quality of my hair. I get nothing but compliments on my hair now. Joanna's color is fantastic - she's really a genius at creating a more fabulous version of what nature's given you. And Vanessa's hair cut actually lasts a full 2 months, and she always gives me the most phenomenal blow-outs that lasts for days. That said, it ain't cheap. But you get what you pay for. After years of trying to bargain hunt, I realize now that it just isn't worth it. You're going to spend some coin, but you're going to look and feel like a million bucks. And don't forget to schedule a Kerastasse Treatment - your hair stays shiny for weeks after - worth the $45.

Best Hair Experience Ever!. I feel so fortunate to have discovered Butterfly! Kelly worked with me on how to style my short hair at home after giving me a fabulous cut! I love the open concept of the salon, and the care and attention I received!

I feel like a millon bucks when I walk out of there!. I've been going to Butterfly ever since they opened and have never been disappointed. The care and attention given to me as soon as I walk through the doors is exceptional. Kattia has done a wonderful job of creating an enviornment that is all about the "experience".

Her team is top notch and are true experts in their field of color and cut. They work with you to determine what cut is best for you as well as what color will enhance what God already gave you! I never feel rushed or feel like products are pushed on me.

Everytime I go there is are true collaborative effort between everyone you work with. I've never been disappointed and highly recommend Butterfly for cut, color, great waxing and manis/pedis. You will not be disappointed.

Fabulous color, best EVERY. I hesitate to write such a stellar review because I don't want you to go there. I want Butterfly to be my own little secret to fabulousness. But a talent such as my colorist MUST be exposed for all the world to love. SO I cast my selfishness aside to share:

I have been living in NY for 10 years and I can NOT believe that I did not stumble here sooner. I mean really. My hair is very high maintenance- I have half a head of extensions and I am ohhh so picky as to who can touch it. Color has been my own personal nightmare until I found Min Kim.

Let me explain the state my hair was in before I arrived- brassy highlights grown out since the summer, dark roots and three shades of color I can't describe. I was greeted warmly and whisked over to Min's chair where she assessed my hair, asked me questions and actually listened to what I had to say. I just told her to fix me and that she did. She was beyond knowledgeable and so efficient- she warmed up my dark roots and then added subtle highlights in the front and low lights in the back and glossed everything up so I walked out with shiny bouncy hair. I am in love with my hair. And her. And the salon.

Everyone was SO NICE and friendly. The place had a great energy and I am definitely going back.

It's all about Min Kim ladies. MIN KIM. She should be president.

Best Cut of My Life!!. I've lived in Manhattan my whole life and had yet to find a stylist I would stick to... until I met Autumn. I was recommended to her by a good friend and I'm so lucky to have met her. My heavy, long hair was damaged and just plain boring. I told Autumn that I wanted my hair to look healthier, have some shape and style but above all, keep the length. Instead of the usual eye-roll I'd been receiving, Autumn carefully examined my hair to see what needed to be done and then got started. After an amazing shampoo, cut and blow dry, I was transformed. She did exactly what I had asked and it looked better than what I'd hoped. I barely noticed a change in length but my hair was shinier than it's been in years. Autumn brought back the health and bounce to my hair, but most importantly... she gave me style. Love her and never going anywhere else!

Roman Kusayev: THE authority on trimming your tresses. By a stroke of good hair karma, when I first moved to the city four years ago, I stumbled upon Butterfly in my online research. By all accounts the reviews were rave and my hair needed color and stylistic salvation. After Min's transformative color change from Marilyn Monroe-blonde to Julianne Moore-red, she insisted I see Roman and seriously update my cut, which was super (lower-back) long and had absolutely no shape whatsoever. RK immediately gave me bangs and layers but still gave me room to play around with up-dos, ponytails, etc. When I left the salon that day, three different women stopped me on the street to complement the hue and cut. Needless to say, I've never been to either another colorist or stylist since.

Fantastic haircuts and color, great experience. I've been here three times and absolutely love it. My hair has been difficult to manage for years, but after trying Butterfly, this is the first time in my life where a good hair day is the norm and not the exception!

Kelly cuts my hair, Tracy colors it, and Vanessa gave me a Brazilian relaxing treatment. The Brazilian has changed my life -- getting ready every day is worlds easier, my hair is under control, and it looks better than it ever has. Going to Butterfly is worth every penny.
