Great Irish Pub Serving Great Food!

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night. We were looking for a nice Irish pub with good atmosphere and good food and that is exactly what we found. I had the chicken tarragon and it was excellent! I will def. be coming back.

good service, good beer, not crowded, slightly expensive

The Old Castle was a nice midtown bar, not crowded, no ear-splitting music, slightly on the expensive side ($40 each for beer and appetizers), with a friendly attentive waitstaff. Good beer selection too. I especially liked the BARE KNUCKLE STOUT. A few loud drunk alpha males, but you'll live. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers.

• Pros: friendly helpful staff, good beer selection, not too loud or too crowded
• Cons: a few really loud drunks, somewhat pricey

awesome place

Was in midtown looking for something to eat and stumbled across this place. So glad that we decided to check it out. There was a group of five of us, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated immediately. Wait staff were promt and friendly and food was excellent. I have recommened the old castle to various friends visiting nyc and would definately go back again.
