Great Haircut Every Time. I’ve been coming here for a while now to get my haircut. While It’s a little on the expensive side and I need to make my appointment a few weeks out, the haircut is worth it. Too many places like to give me a buzz cut but they really take their time. The shampoo is an experience all on its own because the girls here really know how to give a head massage. They have great products, too and they’re not pushy about selling them.

Not sure how it got best of city search recognition. I always have been a big fan of "best of citysearch" places, so I went into Timothy's thinking it will be a great experience. It turned out not to be so. I did promptly got seated, however I was assigned to an intern/volunteer someone ( whose name is not there on the website), who at the very look of it seemed very nervous. However it was my first visit so I said ok it's going to get better. It did not! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she started out cutting my hair. I went from medium hair to short hair and told her that I wanted an angular layered bob. However the end result wasn't that great, she tried telling me it will keep getting better but the way she held and cut my hair was very very amateurish. Yah I would expect such a cut from some no name salon but not from a best of city search salon...I did not make much fuss about it. However if you really want your customers to visit next time why would you not give her the best possible person to cut hair. All I can say I am not happy:( laicale and yann varin which were previous winners made me much much happier after my haircut....will never go back to Timothy johns for sure...

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Got my hair cut here for an event, and I could not be more happy. I was complimented the entire night I was out. I was even mistaken for a few celebritities!!! I fit right in with the crowd at this "A-list" event and my confidence was sky high.

I got the full treatment..cut, color, blow dry, and style. It was exactly the way I wanted it and well worth every dollar spent.

Needless to say, I will be coming here every time I want to look like a movie star!

never to return. After reading the reviews on citysearch I decided to give Timothy Johns a go for a color & cut as I had moved abode & was no longer near the salon that I had attended for years (Butterfly Studio which I totally adored).

It had been 9 weeks since my last color so I brought a picture of myself & the color that I wished to achieve. Rosemary who was extremely pleasant showed me a sample in a color book that looked nice, I asked her if it would be similar to the color of my hair in the picture and she said yes.

When she started to color I informed her that the color took to my hair length very quickly and did not need to be left in for very long. She left the color on my roots for 20 mins & then pulled it through the length for 20 mins. My previous colorist pulled it through the length for 5 min. When she washed my hair out I asked her if she was putting gloss on, she informed me that the color left a gloss & if I wanted a gloss I would have to pay extra for it but that she did not think I needed it. In all the years I attended butterfly studio they had always left a gloss in for 5 minutes after a color which made my hair look amazing.The end result my hair was nearly black it was so dark.

I then had a haircut with Timothy, I showed him the picture I had brought & asked him for big waves when blow drying. He was extremely unfriendly & informed me that he would not be able to blow dry with big waves that he would have to blow dry it straight to see the cut.

I informed him I did not like my hair straight at which point he got very angry. I had been attending my previous stylist for many years & have never been informed that they had to blow dry my hair straight. He spent about 15 minutes cutting my hair and after blow drying my hair was frizzy & neither straight nor wavy.

He never asked me if I liked the cut yet I think he told tell by my face I was not happy & he did not wish to accomodate me any longer since he had another customer waiting. Since I avoid confrontation at all costs I got up from the chair & went to pay.

When I had called the salon to ask for an appointment they had told me that it was $90 with Rosemary for a single process for my shoulder length hair. They charged me $130.

Needless to say I will not be returning to Timothy Johns & I also question the excellent reviews on this website.

So great!. Was recommended by friends in the neighborhood and so happy I took their advice. Rosemary was a hoot and I left feeling like a new person. Absolutely loved the experience and will certainly be back!!

Lived up to all the reviews. So after reading all the great reviews I thought I would give the salon a try. Had a 5pm appointment for a one step color and cut. Having no idea exactly what I wanted.

The receptionist is a doll. Rosemary was my stylest.

She took a look at my dreadfull hair and asked Timothy for a consult. My hair was several shades of blonde from self coloring, dry and long.

Instead of a one color process I got 3! Color, hilights and gloss. The color came out darker then I expected, but it looks fabulous! I love it!!

Then came the cut, I told Rosemary, please don't cut it too short, but other then that go to town. Well the cut came out spectacular!

They stayed late to finish with me, a second stylest helped out with blowing my hair (because I have a lot of it)

Everyone was nice and friendly.

I will definatly go back and recommmend to my friends and co workers.

Side note, as I was crossing 11th ave this morning, a bus driver waved for me to go before he turned. As I made it passed his window, I thanked him. He said, your welcome, I enjoyed the view! LOL

Best Salon NO LIE!!! Best for Color and Relaxation.. I have been looking for a salon for a long time and I found the BEST!

I have been going to Timothy John's for a long time and I am always looking forward to get my hair done. I found the salon here on City Search after I had a bad dye job from another place. My hair was a wreck when I walked in the salon I had at least 6 different colors on my head.

As I walked in I was greeted with a smile by the lovely receptionist. The salon was very busy at the time and I had booked for a single process to fix my hair. Little did I know that I was a color correction!, Timothy looked at my hair with one of the junior stylist and said it can be fixed up to 90% and will get better over time. I told him I wanted to be a natural looking blonde.He was right I think it was 1000% better!!

As time progressed my friends have noticed how healthy my hair is and I get complements everywhere I go. I've never had long hair until I started coming here. I think I may have been spoiled by this salon because I can't see myself going anywhere else and expect the same treatment and have excellent hair at the same time. You guys have saved my hair and gave me confidence, hair is very important! If you haven't tried Timothy John's you are missing out! I love the staff here. Cant wait for my next visit!

Best Hair Experience Ever. Oh My God this place is awesome! I have had my hair done by many different places and people over the years and I have always been, for the most part satisfied. Until this last weekend when I was for the first time actually speechless. I'm talking jaw to the floor blown away by my hair cut. I never know how much you could do with a simple cut and color. They really know what they are doing over there at Timothy John's. My stylist was fast, attentive, friendly and a true proffesional! This is by far the best place in town!

P.S. ask for Elena
