Editorial Review for Fusion – by Raven Snook
The Scene
Fusion pioneered a spate of attractive watering holes opening in Hell's Kitchen. Its long, thin bar with bright red walls gives way to a cool, blue-painted back lounge, with comfy mod sofas, artwork for sale on the walls, and a tiny adjoining patio that allows smokers to indulge during warm months. On weekday evenings, Fusion attracts the media set, with workers from nearby CBS and Sony studios jamming into the diminutive space to take advantage of happy hour. On weekends, hipsters mingle with hip-hoppers from the hood while a DJ spins '80s tunes and pop.
The Draw
Regulars come for the warm atmosphere and eclectic drink menu, which includes apple martinis, lethal mojitos and Fusion's signature cocktail, the Pussyfoot, a fruity concoction that tastes like an alcoholic creamsicle. Various raffles and promotions, such as a Las Vegas weekend getaway sponsored by a liquor company, offer added value to your hangover.

I've been here a couple of times and really enjoyed myself. Very nice staff making very good drinks in a comfortable, down to earth atmosphere. Good for dates or just to hang with friends or coworkers. It's the kind of place that fits for all occasions.
Pros: Service, Drinks, Ambiance

Is this the friendliest bar in New York? It sure is close! Dividing lines between one group, one table, fade quickly. Everyone is instant pals. Even the staff are quick-as-a-downed beer are at your table chatting away. If I lived around here, it would be my regular. Everyone in the place just seems like they're having fun.. .and they want you to join in with them! Food comes from nearby places and is not top notch... especially after the pizza places close at 11. But mediocre food is a small price to pay for instant pals. Brings a smile to my face just to think of the place! --Drink Club NYC is a roving group of NYC Drinkers
Pros: Super friendly staff, patrons, everybody! Decent beer selection
Cons: mediocre food delivery from outside, out of the way
