If it's so simple, why isn't it done?.
I had passed by Ellen's Couture and the decor was elegant. There were lovely dresses in the window. Great high-end location. It would be an excellent place to get my wedding dress altered and cleaned. In early August I had a fitting. Ellen determined I need no alterations: just a new hook and eye plus and a snap to lift my train for dancing. My wedding date is October 1st. When I returned 5 weeks later, they couldn't find the dress. After searching for 10 minutes, it was determined the work had never been done. "But my wedding is four days away!" Ellen shrugged and said, "It's simple. You sit down. I'll do it now." I said, "If it's so simple, why isn't it done? Please give me my money back." She did switch out the hook and eye but the snap to lift my train wasn't completed.
Wouldn't send my worse enemy to this place. Plus, she chastised me: You should have called first. We require that of new clients.
Call - five weeks for a hook and eye. I could have done it myself. Messy business. Terrible customer service. Terrible cashier and front desk. BAD.

Great alterations for men, and awesome bridal gowns.
I got a mens suit altered here, to fit my bod. My wife got her bridal gown designed by Ellen and stitched right there in her Columbus St shop. I was blown away. Not only did my suit come out perfectly fitting, but my wife actually looked even MORE beatiful in the custom dress. I didn't think that was possible.
