I stumbled upon Dr. Levin's office after having had 2 HORRIBLE experiences with OB/GYN doctors after moving to the city. Coincidently, both were women with the worst bedside manners I've ever encountered. I was so relieved to finally find a doctor who is always professional, incredibly knowledgible and ALWAYS courteous. I am not a person who needs a lot of hadholding but I do need a doc. who can speak with me without being condescending, Dr. Levin is definitely that. He performed a surgery I needed and a year later delived my son. My husband and I were completely in awe that he was able to deliver the baby without a C section even though there were serious complications. The nursing staff at the Lenox Hill hospital where I delived had nothing but FANTASTIC comments about him....having worked in hospitals for the last 10 years, that says a lot to me! In addition, his office is incredibly well run, I have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes and the staff is very friendly. If you are looking for a great doctor do not hesitate to call him, if you are looking for someone who will be your best friend, he is not for you.

I started going to Dr. Levin before I got pregnant. He is a fine doctor - no handholding here, very matter of fact. If you are looking for a pampering experience he may not be the best doctor for you. The pros: timely appointments, his staff is very good at keeping him to a schedule; very conservative in pregnancy, which many women really like; very polite and nice staff, which is almost unheard of usually in the city. He returns calls very promptly, asks very specific questions, and tells you if you should be doing anything right away. If any of your tests come back not perfect, he will call you right away, you will not have to wait or call on your own wondering. Staff again, very nice, which really helps the experience. Also, Dr. Levin tries hard to help you have a natural birth, he does not in any way push a C-section on you - again something I have encountered with other offices.The cons: the office is not state of the art, but, if the service is good, and you are not waiting in that office for hours, I think it does not cause an issue.
Pros: Nice Staff, professional, very focused on baby's health, no long waits!
