K Lounge- Tasteless, Rip Off at the Door

THE MANAGEMENT AND PROMOTER ARE RUNNING A SCAM HERE!! Especially for this new party on Saturdays called Latin Saturdays. When I called to ask about the dress code the manager Mohawn stated it was a relaxed dress code and when I got to the venue my friends couldn't get in because they were trying to enforce this very strict dress code that no one knew about, including a girlfriend of mine who had on dressy flats. One of my friends were visibly upset that they did not let about 15 of my friends but did not say anything and they said she not coming in because "she looks like she has an attitude". These are some of the promoters associated with this party (Kirk, Tony T: Yomo) who are also associated with the party hunter website. The worst offender of them all was one black security guard with dreads whose breath smelled horrible and had such a poor attitude towards most of our guests. They charged some people 10 dollars to get in, other people were charged 25 dollars at the door and walk them upstairs, pay the 10 dollars to the cashier and pocket the 15 dollars extra for themselves- what a scam and a rip off!! .

The pillows and chairs they expect you to sit or lay on are filthy with foot prints and weird smells. The DJ played 80% Spanish music, no variety. The best thing about the whole place was the 3 way mirror they had inside the bathroom and that is sad when a mirror is the highlight of your evening. The crowd that they work so hard to seem upscale and posh were a bunch of random people, there was no swag, flavor or real style in this crowd, I was bored to tears!

There were still guys in there with fitted caps, t-shirts, and girls with flats in the party; they just cherry picked who they wanted to come in based on race and how much money they thought they could make off you if you were desperate enough to get in. They also run a bottle scam and stated if you buy about 3-5 bottles they will let you in no matter how your dressed- its was the most disgusting display of business I have ever seen. I went here last year when it was still a great place to be, the management (Marilyn was a pleasure) and the promoters were humble and welcoming, and it was still a great crowd. Now the promoters are scam artists, raciest, deplorable customer service and the management are extremely unprofessional and let the promoters have free reign on how there venue is ran and perceived. I highly suggest you skip this place and go to Madame X, they have a similar red velvet décor and it's extremely cozy and the door people and promoters are always a pleasure.

Tastemaker Tuesday Weekly After work party-CANCELLED

Tastemaker Tuesday @ K Lounge has been CANCELLED. Sad but true the ONLY weekly event at K Lounge popping off with good music and good drinks is CLOSED. Another one bites the dust..... But guess what. The party IS looking for a new home and so a new review will be coming soon....

A great Halloween for all

I was there from 10pm till it closed, and it was off the hook, I only got off the dance floor once. My freinds were lovin the Djs, Doug rocked it early and Kaz dropped us off the planet with his beats rocking. Playing everything between them on the planet, English Spanish, whatever it was crazy. The effects of the strobes with the fog created a crazy effect, I went on Friday and it was a different place on Saturday, it was transformed. I was dancing on both days, and it was fun. I am going back, I have to, it was off the hook. I told everyone I knew that they have to come with me next week. I will be the one in the middle of the dance floor. Dj Dougie Redzone and Dj Kaz was blazin, not just hip hop, not just R&B, not just Dance, reggae-ton or latin, they blazed it all. I have to recomend these new people to everyone. The staff kept the drinks flowing and the had drink specials all night. I need to check out their after work parties, heard they were cool too. So come celebrate with us. Those waitresses are off the hook cute, and kept us laughing all night. My freinds were in love with the bartenders. Well, just make mine K Lounge, my new home.

A great place for Afterwork

This club-lounge is off the Hook on Friday, it started off smooth, and the Dj knew all the music, House, Hip hop, Latin, Reggae, Reggaeton, even knew African, Brazilian, not to mention Greek and Jewish favorites and played it for us. The appetizers were very tastee, during the Happy Hour, the music was surene, and caught myself singing along. The sound guy was working to get even sharper tones for that night and it was enough to stay and see what was going on. Ashanti was there, Nelly was there, Tachina Arnold was there and of course Ja Rule came through. Been here during the summer and this was Ashanti's place and Dj Kass and Dougie was keeping the dancefloor packed and heads bopping. Even Orlando Bloom said that he wished he had the Dj from K at his event. The servers are cute and quick, but watch some drinks, they will twist u out. The ladies are getting more hot, the guys are dressing better. The place is the next New Spot to be at, So dont listen to the haters on here, listen to me, it is growing to be a hot spot and now coming into its own. So since I am now becoming a regular, I can tell you the place is getting better each time I go. Even Jeff Scott Saturdays is getting better, so come and hear the best little secret in town, that is now having Fashion shows and even has Thursdays afterwork Jazz before becoming a club later on. First club that plays all the hotness, and tip the Dj for your favorite song and they play it. Make K Lounge mine, and cant wait till they open downstairs on the weekend, to make the club 2 floors. You need to check it out and I will buy you drink.
